The next tournament of the 2020 GGPoker World Series of Poker Online Bracelet Events set to play down to a champion is Event #55: HK$8,000 NLHE Asia Championship. Featuring several starting days for players from all over the world to secure their seat for the final day, the tournament attracted a total field of 3,247 entries and 479 survivors return for a shot of the HK$24,677,200 prize pool (~$3,208,036).

Only 404 of them will make the cut to earn at least HK$19,255.61 (~$2,503) for their efforts and the early stages are expected to provide tons of action as the field is whittled down towards the money bubble. The returning blinds will be 5,000-10,000 with a big blind ante of 1,000 and the current average stack is just shy of 34 big blinds. All levels will last 20 minutes each until the final table is set, at which time all real names are revealed and 30 hands are played for each blind level.

A duo from China sits atop the leaderboard in "twotimekid" (1,336,811) and "jnandez875" (1,138,630) whereas GGPoker streamer Michiel "Easterdamnz" Van Elsacker follows in third place with 1,137,913. Another three players have a stack of seven digits to their name including Simon Higgins (1,053,289), Pedro "WhyNotChili" Ivars (1,025,879) and Pranay "setmeup" Chawla (1,005,012).

Several top pros, well-known grinders and WSOP bracelet winners also made the cut such as Samuel Vousden (955,077), Ranno "RukKuRuku" Sootla (936,608), Martin Zamani (806,276), Craig "Goblue" Varnell (795,546), Jack Salter (700,428), Joao "naturalMENTE" Simao (676,922), Parker Talbot (640,079), Rainer Kempe (636,988), Brandon Adams (599,313), and Joao Vieira (480,898 ) to name a few of those well above the average.

Six-time WSOP bracelet winner and GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu returns with a stack of 353,322, and further multiple bracelet winners in contention are Kahle Burns (291,680), Kristen Bicknell (270,892), Yuri Dzivielevski (178,079) and Erik Seidel (66,575).

Stay tuned to find out who adds another WSOP cash to their name and makes a deep run for the coveted gold bracelet as the PokerNews live reporting team will aim to capture as many key moments as possible from start to finish.
