Welcome to the special edition of the GGMasters. At 5 p.m. UTC, Event #56: $1,500 GGMasters WSOP Edition [High Roller] is set to start and is sure to attract many players to its $2,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Many familiar names ave already registered before the start of the day. GGPoker pros Pete Chen, Kosei Ichinose, Thai Ha, Felipe Ramos, Daniel Negreanu, and Sergey Rybachenko are in. Other notable players include Brad Owen, Martin Zamani, Shawn Buchanan, Dominik Nitsche, Antoine Saout, Julien Martini, Manig Loeser, Mike Watson, and Alex Foxen for example.

As this is the high roller version of Event #57, it follows the same structure and set up as the usual GG Masters but the winner will walk away with a WSOP Europe package. However, the event will not award any points for the players chasing the top spots in the GGMasters Leaderboard.

The players will get 10,000 in chips in their starting stack and play 15-minute levels until Level 15. that is when the level duration will increase to 20 minutes each until the winner has been crowned. Late registration is possible for the first 210 minutes of the tournament and players can only enter once as it's a freezeout format. As usual, a 6-minute break will take place at 55 minutes past each hour and play will continue until there is one player left.

PokerNews will be here from the first second until a new gold WSOP bracelet has been awarded, so make sure to follow along.
