Lindgren Dusted by Shin

Niveau 22 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Erica Lindgren
Erica Lindgren

Mike "mkspresident" Shin raised to 24,000 from the cutoff and Erica "huckcheevers" Lindgren three-bet to 36,000 from the button.

Action folded back to Shin who four-bet to 48,000 and Lindgren called to see a{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop.

Shin led out for 12,000 and Lindgren tossed her last 1,875 in the middle.

Mike "mkspresident" Shin: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Erica "huckcheevers" Lindgren: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Shin was ahead with top two-pair and the {4-Spades} was no help to Lindgren as it took away her lo hand leaving her drawing to any ace, jack, ten or nine.

Unfortunately for Lindgren, the {6-Clubs} river paired the board ending her tournament in 30th place for $2,493.75.

WSOP History: Looking Back at the November (and October) Nines

Niveau 21 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
2016 WSOP November Nine
2016 WSOP November Nine

No stage in poker stood as a bigger goal for a tournament player than the final table of the WSOP Main Event. For years, that meant going to sleep knowing you had the chance of a lifetime, to go down in poker history in the next few days as the cameras captured your every bet, raise and fold.

All of that changed in 2008.

The year after Jerry Yang's Main Event victory was broadcast to all on ESPN's standard tape delay, organizers made a decision to try to increase the excitement and anticipation around the final table: after the final nine was reached, play would be paused. At that point, everyone left would go home with 9th-place money and the players would reconvene a few months later to play out the final table on a short tape delay.

That lasted until 2016, and this is the history of the November (and October) Nines.

Upeshka "gomezhamburg" De Silva raised to 20,000 from the cutoff and action folded to Wendy "Cardthartic" Freedman who was all in for 8,501 from the big blind.

Wendy "Cardthartic" Freedman: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Upeshka "gomezhamburg" De Silva: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Freedman was behind and didn't hold a lo hand as the board ran out {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} eliminating her from the tournament as it gave De Silva two-pair.

Ryan Laplante

Ryan "protential" Laplante raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and Ofir "panda15" Mor called from the small blind to see a {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop.

Mor check-called Laplante's 8,000 continuation bet bringing the {3-Clubs} turn. Mor check-raised Laplante's 16,000 bet to 32,000 and was called.

Once the {2-Spades} appeared on the river Mor led out for 16,000 and then called Laplante's 32,000 raise.

Mor rolled over {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for the nut flush but it was no good as Laplante rivered the full house {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} to win the pot.

A Look at GGPoker's WSOP Gold Bracelets Winners

Niveau 20 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
WSOP GGpoker
WSOP GGpoker

On Sunday, July 19, GGPoker held its first-ever WSOP bracelet events — part of a 54-event schedule spread out across July, August, and into September. Unfortunately, on a night where three bracelet winners were supposed to be crowned, two of the events ran into a critical bug and had to be suspended to next week.

The lightning-fast Event #34: $525 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed — clocking in at a mere 3 hours and 15 minutes start to finish to make it the fastest-ever bracelet event — was unaffected by the technical issues and played out as normal. In total, 2,214 entries of $525 each were made to create a total prize pool of $1,107,000.

In the end, it was Shoma "pp_syon" Ishikawa of Japan writing history as GGPoker's first-ever online bracelet winner, as well as the third person from Japan after Naoya Kihara and Takahiro Nakai to claim the coveted prize. Ishikawa is an emerging talent from the land of the rising

Ishikawa may have been GGPoker's first-ever bracelet winner, but he's not the last. As the series rolls on, several others have been crowned.
