The 2020 Online World Series of Poker rolls on today with Event #8: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout, which kicks off at 3 p.m. PDT.
The tournament is a freezeout, meaning re-entries and rebuys are not allowed. Late registration will be available for three hours and forty-five minutes, until 6:45 p.m. PDT. Players will start with 20,000 in chips and play 15-minute levels.
This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.
A host of players have already registered, including Ryan "flipflip" Lenaghan, Peter "EasyPeasy" Hengaskul, and Bryan "Mug15" Elliot, to name a few.
This is the eighth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 54 events).
The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).
