Luciano Hollanda Leads Final 21 Event #19: $840 6-Handed Bounty; Feng and Maimone Still in Contention

Niveau 32 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

The back end of the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events has had some bangers but none with nearly as much action as Event #19: $840 6-Handed Bounty No-Limit Hold'em showed today. This event drew a total of 2,053 entries, creating a $1,642,400 prize pool, and now just 21 are left in the hunt for the title.

Brazil claimed the top three spots on the leaderboard by night's end and it was Luciano Hollanda sitting atop the field with his 4,139,237 in chips, putting him in the most capable spot toward taking down the $66,950 first-place prize. Right behind is fellow-countrymen Kelvin Kerber (4,084,052) and Eder "BlueMoon" Campana (3,969,603). Campana was an early notable leader that managed to overcome a plummet towards the abyss during the final stages of the night, bouncing back from a near deficit to sitting just three big blinds behind the leader.

Two bracelet holders will be returning tomorrow in search of their second. Huahuan "F7588" Feng and Nick Maimone are placed in the middle of the pack with just one big blind difference in chips between them. Each possesses the ability to guide their way through an online WSOP final table, and that was proven during the GGPoker WSOP Online series last August of 2020, when a bracelet was awarded to each. Look for each of these heavy-hitters to come out swinging tomorrow in hopes of adding a second piece of jewelry to their collection.

Just over 300 players were sitting for the first hand and it took under an hour for that number to jump to over 1,000 with a total of 2,053 slips sold by the end of late registration. This created a $1,642,400 prize pool with 296 spots set to receive a payday. Now just 21 are left and every player is guaranteed at least $4,198 along with bounties accumulated. The eventual champion is going to secure $66,950 + Total Bounties and a new WSOP bracelet for their mantle.

The final day will resume tomorrow August 27, at 5:00 p.m. GMT with play returning to Level 33 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500. Play will not halt until a winner is crowned, taking home the first-place, along with bragging rights for their first WSOP victory.

The PokerNews reporting team will be here throughout, so tune in then as the action unfolds.

Three-Way Pot Leaves Pecheux on Empty

Niveau 32 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

"hitorrun" moved all in for a total of 175,448 and Rafael "IWinFarms" Freitas pushed over the top. Erwann Peacheux called his 709,947 in as well, and Freitas had them both at risk.

"hitorrun": {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Erwann Pecheux: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Rafael "IWinFarms" Freitas: {k-Clubs}{2-Spades}

The flop came down {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, hitting everyone but Pecheux who then was in last. A {q-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river changed not a thing, sending a triple to "hitorrun" as Pecheux took an exit in the process.

Two Big Stacks Collide

Niveau 32 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Huahuan "F7588" Feng raised from under the gun, making 80,000 to go and three players called. Nick Maimone, Kelvin Kerber, and 'NagrodzByka" in the big blind. A {k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop spread out for the players and Feng bet 120,450 once action fell to him.

Kerber raised to 400,900 and Maimone instantly bumped it up again, for a total of 751,438. Feng and "NagrodzByka" folded and Kerber put in enough to call, bringing down a {k-Spades} turn card.

Kerber check-called a bet of 536,849, the board completed with an {8-Hearts} and both players tapped. Maimone showed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a missed straight and Kerber turned over big slick for a boat, taking down the hand.

"Alex23Zola" limped in middle position and Silvio "valterzao" Costa raised to 200,000. "Alex23Zola" three-bet jammed 808,615 and Costa called.

"Alex23Zola": {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Silvio "valterzao" Costa: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop smashed Costa when {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} rolled out, giving him top pair to take the lead, plus the nut flush draw to boot.

A {5-Diamonds} turn brought a straight draw for "Alex23Zola" but the {4-Clubs} river was not it and Costa took down the pot, eliminating "Alex23Zola" from the event.

Maimone Completes Bounce Back

Niveau 31 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Nick Maimone opened to 100,000 from the small blind and Diego "PERUYI" Gomez three-bet shoved for a total of 679,301. Maimone called and had Gomez in rough shape.

The {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop brought some counterfeit outs but all failed to get there when the {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} runout fell on the table, leaving nines in the lead to scoop the pot and send Gomez to the rail.

"SmokinAces": {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Diego "PERUYI" Gomez: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flip between the two had an uneventful {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{2-Spades} board fall, missing "SmokinAces" completely and Gomez pulled in the pot to send one out the door.

The {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop landed, Romaine bet 87,500 and only Hollanda called, bringing down a {9-Clubs} turn card.

A bet of 145,000 by Romaine was called and the {k-Diamonds} completed the board. Romaine tapped to Hollanda who instantly pushed over 600,000 into the pot.
