Welcome to the WSOP Online Event #2: $1,111 Caesars Cares Charity Event at GGPoker

2021 WSOP Online at GGPoker
2021 WSOP Online at GGPoker

While players residing in Nevada and New Jersey were able to get the first crack in 2021 at WSOP gold with 32 bracelets on the line in July, the attention of bracelet hunters is now on GGPoker for players in the rest of the world for the remainder of the summer with another 33 bracelets up for grabs from Aug. 1 to Sept. 12.

Expect some of the biggest names in poker to participate for the next six-plus weeks including in today's WSOP Online Event #2: $1,111 Caesars Cares Charity Event.

This event is not only about the huge cash prizes on tap and a coveted WSOP gold bracelet to the winner but also is a way of players giving back. Instead of GGPoker charging rake in this event, each entry will consist of $1,000 heading into the prize pool along with a $111 donation to Caesars Cares, a Nevada-based COVID-19 charity.

Day 1 Schedule

The action for Day 1 will kick off at 7 p.m. CEST (1 p.m. ET) with players initially beginning with 25,000 in chips (250 blind blinds) and blinds increasing slowly at every 15 minutes.

The final prize pool and payouts won't be known until late registration closes 245 minutes later at 11:05 p.m. CEST (5:05 p.m. ET), during which time players can opt to re-enter up to two- times if things didn't go their way early.

The day will end the sooner of the action reaching a final table or 32 blind levels completed with the final day scheduled for Monday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. CEST (1 p.m. ET).

Last summer, Alek "astazz" Stasiak made a name for himself in the poker world after he topped a field of 2,323 entries to earn his first World Series of Poker title along with $343,204 top prize. Time will tell who will be the latest winner of this prestigious WSOP Event.

Filatov Doubles with Cowboys

Niveau 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

It was a slow start for GGPoker Ambassador Anatoly Filatov but he doubled up to near a starting stack after the following hand.

Filatov opened for 800 from the hijack. "Blue skies" three-bet jammed for 10,481 and Filatov, who had exactly 35 chips more, made the call.

"Blue skies": {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Anatoly Filatov: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"Blue skies" whiffed the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board and Filatov effectively doubled his stack. "Blue skies" didn't immediately re-enter after losing their stack but still has plenty of time to change their mind.

Broadway for Filatov

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Before the blinds increased, "Shui1994" opened for 1,050 from under the gun and got called by Francesco "Pachamama" Favia from the lojack and Anatoly Filatov from the hijack.

The action checked to Filatov on the {8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop and he fired out for 1,095. Both players called and the {j-Hearts} followed on the turn.

Once again the action checked to Filatov and this time he bet 5,632. "Shui1994" jammed for 21,930 and Favia called off for 17,267. Filatov also called for his stack of around 20,000 and the trio turned over their cards.

Francesco "Pachamama" Favia: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Anatoly Filatov: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
"Shui1994": {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

It was a bit of a cooler with Filatov turning Broadway and Favia getting it in with top set and "Shui1994" with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Neither of Filatov's opponent's got the help they needed on the {2-Clubs} river and Filatov, who had a short stack not long ago, chipped up before the break.

Full House for Bilstad to Felt Jeppsson

Niveau 11 : 600/1,200, 150 ante

Just before the blinds increased, Christian Jeppsson opened for 2,200 from the cutoff. Oskar "CashMeOuside" Bilstad raised to 9,000 from the small blind and Jeppsson called.

Bilstad fired out for 6,360 on the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop before he checked the {4-Diamonds} turn. Jeppsson bet 9,105 and the {4-Clubs} river paired the board after Bilstad called.

Bilstad checked again before he called a jam by Jeppsson for 23,584.

Jeppsson's {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} whiffed the board and Bilstad won a big pot with a full house holding {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Jeppsson re-entered after the hand.

Filatov Takes Out Two

Niveau 12 : 700/1,400, 175 ante

"UrineTrouble" open-jammed for 6,809 from the button. Anatoly Filatov three-bet to 12,218 from the small blind before he called a jam by "YoungWildFree" from the big blind to 13,370.

"UrineTrouble": {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
"YoungWildFree": {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Anatoly Filatov: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It appeared that "YoungWildFree" would win the hand after nailing top pair on the {4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop. This player's odds increased after the blank {7-Spades} turn. However, the {9-Clubs} spiked the river to give Anatoly a set and the GGPoker Ambassador eliminated two players in one hand.
