Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit raised under-the gun to 2,100 and was called from the hijack and big blind.

The flop of {3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} was checked all the way around. The turn of {2-Hearts} was checked by the big blind and bet 4,500 by Kanit which was good enough to take down the pot.

Hawkins Folds Top Pair

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins raised the button to 2,300 and the big blind player defended.

The flop came down {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and the big blind check-called a bet of 2,000 from Hawkins.

The turn of the {k-Spades} was checked through and the big blind led out the river {8-Clubs} for 6,500. Hawkins thought about it for a few seconds before flipping up the {a-Clubs} and tossing his hand into the muck.

Minkin Survives All-In

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Kelly Minkin

With blinds now at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante, there are plenty of sub-20 big blind stacks in the room that will be looking to get their chips in and double up.

One of those stacks belongs to Kelly Minkin, who just moved her last 18,000 in over an early position opponent's 2,500 opening raise. The opponent called and they were off to see five cards.

Kelly Minkin: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Early position opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board came {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the pot was chopped, but with blinds rising every 30 minutes, Minkin and plenty of others will find their chips in the middle soon.

Thai Stays Alive

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Dat Thai moved all-in preflop and it folded around to the small blind. Without thinking, much the small blind made the call, putting Thai at risk for his tournament life.

Dat Thai {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Small Blind: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the King high kicker was enough to double up Thai to stay alive.

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Matt Affleck
Matt Affleck

With approximately 24,000 in the pot on a river board reading {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Matt Affleck faced an all-in bet from his opponent in the small blind for 8,200, which represented a little over half of Affleck's remaining stack.

Affleck went into the tank, but eventually decided on a fold to keep his stack at about 15,000 chips.
