Baker Takes Control Versus Deutsch

Niveau 30 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante
David "Bakes" Baker
David "Bakes" Baker

David "Bakes" Baker just took down a huge pot to vault well atop the leaderboard.

Stephen Deutsch raised on the button and got a call from Baker in the big blind.

Both players drew two, which usually hasn't brought significant action in the betting to follow, but after Baker led out, Deutsch raised, and Baker called. A big pot had begun brewing.

Each player drew one card, and this time Baker checked to Deutsch who took the lead with a bet, only to be check-raised by Baker. Deutsch called.

Baker patted his hand and Deutsch needed to continue drawing one.

After both players checked the end, Baker showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, which would be the winner of a very healthy pot.

PokerGO has partnered with CBS Sports Network to provide WSOP coverage with the likes of Lon McEachern, Norman Chad, and Jamie Kerstetter returning to the WSOP broadcast booth this year, along with PokerNews Podcast co-host Jeff Platt from time to time.

CBS Sports Network will televise 16 pre-produced and edited episodes of the 2021 World Series of Poker Main Event, after striking a multi-year deal earlier this year. This deal sees coverage of the WSOP Main Event return to its original broadcast partner after featuring on CBS Sports Spectacular in the mid-1970s.

All 16 episodes will be televised following the conclusion of the tournament.

PokerGO will provide live streaming duties of the World Championship event starting on Day 1A (November 4) until the end on November 17, except Day 1B (November 5).

Away from the Main Event, there will be additional coverage of more than two dozen tournaments thru November 23, 2021. They include the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and the $250,000 Super High Roller.

Kristijonas Andrulis

Kristijonas Andrulis committed his final 50,000 in chips versus both Stephen Deutsch and Peter Lynn.

First to act, Deutsch drew two, Andrulis drew three, and Lynn drew one.

A side pot began to grow, as Deutsch check-called a bet from Lynn.

Each player drew one card, then Deutsch check-called another bet from Lynn.

Deutsch still needed to draw one, while both Andrulis and Lynn stood pat.

The last betting round was checked through, and while Andrulis had hoped that his {10-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{4-} would be enough to keep him alive, Lynn's {10-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} would claim both the main and side pots, as Deutsch tossed his cards into the muck.
