Chance Kornuth

Just a short time after receiving his third WSOP gold bracelet at a ceremony in the Brasilia Room, Chance Kornuth was back to building his stack in Event #37.

Kornuth bet the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, and his opponent called to see a {5-Clubs} turn. Kornuth checked and watched his opponent bet 5,000, which Kornuth then raised to 16,500. The opponent said "this feels like the nuts" as he mucked his cards, and Kornuth chipped up over 70,000.

At a nearby table, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier had joined the field.

Lin Finds a Suck Out

Niveau 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, both Ding Lin and the middle player checked it over to the third opponent in the hand who jammed all of his chips into the middle. Lin asked for a count and after the dealer told him 17,100 he made the call and the middle player mucked.

Opponent: {k-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Ding Lin: {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Both players had flopped a pair and Lin was only drawing to a six to scoop the pot. "Ah, nice hand," exclaimed Lin as he counted out the chips but the dealer flipped the {6-Clubs} on the turn giving Lin trip sixes. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Lin earned himself a bounty as his opponent hit the rail.

Han Check-Raises All-In

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The action folded around to the cutoff who raised to 2,500 and both the small blind and Junsheng Han called from the big blind.

On a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, both players checked to the cutoff and he put in a continuation of 3,600. The small blind folded and Han asked to see how much his opponent had left. His opponent broke down his stacks and after seeing he had just over 28,000 behind Han put in a stack of 5,000 chips as he said all in. His opponent thought about it for about 10-seconds and looked perplexed. Eventually the opponent let his hand go and the chips were sent to Han.
