Su Puts Jackson to the Test

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

2019 WSOP main event 8th place finisher Timothy Su just added to his growing stack with a large win over David Jackson.

Jackson raised Su's big blind, which Su defended to see a flop of {8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Su check-called a bet of 3,000 from Jackson to see a turn of {3-Spades}.

Again, Su checked, and Jackson escalated his bet sizing to 27,000, which Su again called.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds}, and Su moved all-in for Jackson's remaining 95,000.

Jackson went into the tank for three minutes before finally releasing and asking to show one card, which Su denied as he dragged the pot.

Pai Finds Ace on the River

Niveau 11 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

After some previous action preflop, Lejohn Pai was on the button and was all in for around 60,000 chips, a player in the hijack called. The player in the cutoff, who already had committed 21,000 chips to the pot, folded and showed he laid down {a-}{q-}. With that, hands were revealed.

Lejohn Pai: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Hijack: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Pai was flipping for his tournament life and found no help on the {9-}{5-}{6-} flop. The {2-} turn changed nothing, but the {a-} appeared on the river to save Pai.

Kim Rivers A Pair

Niveau 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A player in the hijack called followed by the button and small blind doing the same. Anthony Kim checked the option in the big blind and the flop came out {4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs} with action checking to the Hijack who bet 3,000. The button called, the small blind folded and Kim called.

The turn was a {6-Spades} and the action checked around.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and it was checked to showdown. Kim showed {3-Spades}{5-Spades} for rivered bottom pair and it was good.

Pavilion Emptying Out

Niveau 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

As the blinds escalate, players are busting and tables are breaking at a rapid pace.

The white section of the Pavilion room is the final remaining active section in the room, with action being consolidated into the Brasilia room.

Reis Doubles Through Kim

Niveau 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Rafael Reis raised preflop to 8,000 only for Denny Kim to three-bet him to 21,000. Reis four-bet shoved for 67,000 and Kim made the call.

Rafael Reis: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Denny Kim: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The flop of {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs} put Kim in the lead, but the turn brought the {q-Spades} filling up Reis and the {k-Spades} improved his hand yet again to Kings full and Kim paid him the full double up.

Crowley Finds Running Cards to Defeat Set

Niveau 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Joseph Crowley was all in preflop for around 60,000 chips with {k-}{q-} against the {7-}{7-} of an opponent, and he mentioned he needed to go elsewhere anyway.

The {7-}{8-}{j-} flop left Crowley drawing slim. Crowley suddenly wanted to stay and asked for a ten and sure enough, the {10-} came on the turn to give him hope. The river was the {9-} to give him a straight and the entire table groaned as what began as a simple flip, turned into a bad beat of sorts by the end.

Hanks Folds Correctly

Niveau 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Phil Rome opened under the gun to 11,000 and Brent Hanks called from the lojack. Action folded to the big blind player who shoved all in for roughly 39,000 prompting a reshove from Rome. Hanks thinks about it for a few seconds before throwing his {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} into the muck.

Big blind player: {j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Phil Rome: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Rome scooped a healthy pot while eliminating a player.
