Three-Way All In Results in a Chop

Niveau 31 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

A three-way all in resulted in Mark Lilomaiva and Max Pinnola both doubling through Marco Townsend and chopping the pot between them.

The board read {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Lilomaiva had {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, Pinnola {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, and Townsend had {k-}{k-}.

There was some confusion over how to chop the pot and the tournament floor had to be called in. Pinnola, the shortest of the three stacks, was determined to be all in for 3,800,000.

He doubled to 5,300,000, Lilomaiva ended the hand with 11,500,000, while Townsend was left with about 1,000,000.

Battle of the Big Stacks

Niveau 31 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Joakim Beaupre
Joakim Beaupre

There was already a large pot of mint green 100,000 strewn in the middle, which was roughly 2,000,000, as the board read {8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The two big stacks were doing battle, as from the big blind Pacheco put together a bet of 3,000,000, Beaupre called.

The river came the {3-Clubs}. Both players checked it. Pacheco tabled the {a-Hearts}{7-}, while Beaupre had the winner with the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair and took down the pot to add even more chips to his enormous stack.

Laplante Recoups Losses by Taking Out Dutton

Niveau 31 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Ryan Laplante lost a huge pot earlier to Joakim Beaupre but just got some of those chips back.

Laplante limped in from early position, another player called, and Ken Dutton raised all in. Laplante reshoved for 4,300,000 and the other player got out of the way.

Ken Dutton: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Ryan Laplante: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Laplante's jacks stayed ahead on a board of {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} and he scored the knockout. He's now back up to around 9,000,000.

Cass Cracks Alfa's Aces to Double in 24 Million Chip Pot

Niveau 31 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Anthony Cass
Anthony Cass

Anthony Cass just doubled through Dave Alfa to become the new tournament chip leader.

With the flop showing {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades} and already more than two million in the pot, Cass bet 2,000,000 from the small blind, Alfa called from the big blind, and a player in the cutoff got out of the way.

Cass moved all in on the {4-Spades} turn for 8,035,000 and Alfa snap-called.

Alfa showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, but Cass had him crushed with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the flopped set.

The river didn't give Alfa the ace or spade he needed, and Cass raked in the massive pot.

A few hands earlier, Cass had won a pot with a royal flush.

Alfredo Pacheco
Alfredo Pacheco

Vicky Nguyen was all in preflop from the big blind, with her {a-Spades}{9-Spades} showing against the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} of Alfredo Pacheco.

The board would not help Nguyen as it ran out {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and just like that she was gone as her chips joined the large armory building in front of Pacheco.
