Simone Gets Huge Double Through Takayama

Niveau 23 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Christopher Simone raised from early position to 180,000 and was called by Faisal Siddiqui on the button. Mike Takayama, who began the day second in chips, then three-bet to 625,000. Simone called while Siddiqui got out of the way.

The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Takayama slid a stack of green 100,000 chips forward, putting Simone all in for his tournament life.

Simone went into the tank for five minutes before the clock was called. "Is this a cooler? I've got an overpair," he said.

As the clock ticked down to zero, Simone eventually put in the chips to call and showed {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. He was ahead of the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} of Takayama, who failed to hit either the turn or river.

Simone was all in for 1,525,000 and doubled to 3,600,000, while Takayama fell down to 2,900,000.
