Delgadillo Makes Gustilo Fold Top Pair

Niveau 28 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

With around 1,200,000 in the pot, Joseph Gustilo bet 500,000 on a flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Jesus Delgadillo then moved all in for his remaining 3,000,000.

That sent Gustilo deep into the tank for nearly eight minutes. "You got aces, bro," he asked Delgadillo.

"I've got outs," he said.

"You're not drawing dead," Delgadillo responded.

Gustilo eventually folded, showing the {k-Spades} for top pair. Delgadillo turned up {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} as he moved up to 4,700,000.

Gustilo was left with 3,300,000 as players went on break.

Ryan Laplante

World Series of Poker bracelet winner Ryan Laplante opened the action with a raise to 400,000. It folded to the big blind and he called.

The flop was {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The player in the big blind checked and Laplante made a continuation bet of 300,000. His opponent put in a raise to 850,000. Laplante moved all-in and the big blind quickly called putting him all-in and at risk.

Big Blind: {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Ryan Laplante: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The player in the big blind had flopped trips but the turn card was the {3-Spades} giving Laplante a flush. The river card was the {4-Spades} locking up the knockout for Laplante.

Delgadillo Cashes in on Misstep

Niveau 29 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

A player had moved all in for around 2,000,000. James Grey was next to act with two other players left to act behind him. Grey did not see the all in and verbally announced raised and tossed out a raise to 550,000. The floor was called and it was determined that Grey would have to at least min-raise the extra amount of the all in, which ended up being calculated as a raise to 3,780,000.

Jesus Delgadillo was next to act and jammed all in over the raise for about 5,400,000 total. Marco Townsend was the last player to act and he folded quickly.

The cards were turned over and Delgadillo was in prime position with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} vs the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} of Grey and the {k-Spades}{6-Spades} of the initial all-in player.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and just like that Delgadillo swallowed up the vast majority of Grey's stack. Grey took the mistake about as well as possible, admitting it was his own fault as he watched his stack shrunken down to a short one.
