The latest big hand involved Dan Shak at the Event #29: $10,000 Short Deck No-Limit Hold'em final table, with Shak making a straight flush!

Quang Ngo raised to 200,000 from the cutoff and Brady Osterman called on the button with Carlos Chang doing the same from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}, Chang checked and Ngo continued with a bet of 300,000. Osterman made the call but Chang folded.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and Ngo opted to slow down and check. Osterman fired a bet of 625,000 over the line for Ngo to come along.

The river completed the board with the {j-Spades} and Ngo checked for the final time. Osterman took a bit of time and then barreled a bet of 1,500,000 over the line. Ngo cut out calling chips and took a second before putting them over the line. Osterman flipped over the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for quads and the pot.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Osterman checked and Conan continued with a bet of 150,000 after which Osterman called,

The turn card was the {6-Hearts} and the action went check, check.

The river brought the {9-Clubs}. This time Osterman thought for a minute before leading the river with a big bet of 450,000. Conan mucked his hand.

Ngo Gets Chang to Fold First Hand of the Day

Quang Ngo raised to 200,000 from the cutoff and the action folded to Carlos Chang in the big blind who was eating his Subway sandwich. Chang didn't respond for a while and Ngo prompted him to act. Chang was aware the action was him but was also still stacking up his chips while considering his options. After a while, Chang three-bet to 725,000 for Ngo to contemplate for a bit and then make the call.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Chang opted to check but fold when Ngo bet 500,000.

Eight Players Return For The Final Day of Event #41: $2,500 Freezeout

The final eight players of Event #41: $2,500 Freezeout will return today Friday, Oct. 23 at 12 p.m. in the Amazon room to resume Day 3. The event drew a total of 896 entries to create a $1,993,600 prize pool. The remaining players are guaranteed at least $37,820. Play will resume until a World Series of Poker champion is crowned. The winner will take home $364,589 along with the highly desired gold bracelet.

After two days of play, Carlos Chang (8,140,000) leads the final eight with Brady Osterman (7,690,000) trailing closely behind. Arthur Conan (4,800,000) ended Day 1 second in chips and was able to cruise his way to the final table. WSOP bracelet winner Sung Joo Hyun (1,815,000) is on the hunt for his second title. Sergi Reixach (1,190,000), Quang Ngo (4,300,000), Adrien Delmas (1,400,000) and Gerald Cunniff (2,000,000) round out the final table which represents a lot of skill and experience.

Play with resume at the start of Level 28 with 50,000/100,000 blinds and 100,000 big blind ante with each level lasting 60-minutes. The players will have a 15-minute break every two levels. A dinner break will be determined later in the day based on the length of play.
