James Lets It Go

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

In a three-way pot with around 20,000 in the middle, the board was showing {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} when the small blind player bet 13,500. It folded to Jason James on the button who chose to call.

The river revealed a {3-Diamonds} and this time the small blind sent 27,500 in the middle. James thought about it for a few minutes but eventually opted to muck his hand, revealing {k-}{q-}.

Recent bracelet winner Daniel Lazrus (443,500) has plenty of chips, as do the likes of Asi Moshe (462,000), Eric Baldwin (395,000), and Niall Farrell (222,000)

As expected, many notables took their seats today, with many deciding to take full advantage of late registration. Some, such as Greg Raymer, Lily Kiletto,, and Maurice Hawkins failed to find a bag by the end of play.

But other established professionals bagged up chips at the close of play, including Tim Reilly (420,000), Joao Simao (301,000), David Pham (205,000) Kitty Kuo (200,000), and Ari Engel (156,500) and will all be returning on Day 2.

Day 2 is set to resume on Sunday, Oct. 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with blinds at 1,500/3,000 and a big blind ante of 3,000. There are ten levels scheduled to be played, with a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 19 of play at approximately 7:00 p.m.

The Pokernews team will be there from when the first card is dealt until the last card hits the felt.
