Lonis Moves Into the Lead

Brent Mutter raised from the cutoff and Jesse Lonis defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Lonis led out with a bet. Mutter raised and Lonis just called to see the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Lonis checked this time and Mutter checked it back. The {q-Hearts} completed the board and Lonis fired out a bet again. Mutter looked him up and Lonis showed {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} for two pair to collect another pot.

Moeller Doubles with Cowboys

Justin Moeller was in the small blind and had most of his chips committed and got the last bit in on the river on the {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} board against Evan Melgaard in the big blind.

McKeehen's Flopped Top Pair is Good

Joe McKeehen raised from middle position and Kenny Hsiung defended the big blind.

Hsiung check-called on all three streets of the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board and McKeehen showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} to take the pot as Hsiung mucked.

Smith Short, Campbell Eliminated

Dan Smith raised it up from the hijack and Kevin Klassen called from the cutoff. The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Smith check-called a bet from Klassen.

On the {4-Clubs} turn card, Smith checked again and Klassen fired in another bet. Smith check-raised this time and Klassen thought for a moment before making the call.

The river brought the {8-Spades} and Smith tossed in a bet. Klassen quickly called this time and Smith showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Klassen turned over {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered set, which left Smith on the short stack.

At the table next door, Robert Campbell was all in for his last 10,000 chips on the button with {q-Spades}{6-Spades}. He was called by Casey McCarrel in the big blind with {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Campbell was eliminated.

Zinno Folds River Flush as Melgaard Chips Up

Evan Melgaard raised in the hijack and Anthony Zinno defended the big blind.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

The {j-Diamonds} turn saw a bet by Zinno and a call.

The {10-Spades} completed the board and the action saw a bet, raise, reraise, and another reraise by Melgaard. Zinno then folded and said "If you show a worse hand I'll give you $200", while showing the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}. Melgaard turned over the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a boat and replied "Good fold. You were only getting about twenty to one."

Chung Forces a Fold from Erickson

Kevin Erickson raised it up from under the gun and Christopher Chung defended from the big blind. The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Chung checked to Erickson who continued with a bet. Chung check-raised and Erickson just called.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Chung led out with another bet. Erickson stuck around to see the {6-Diamonds} pair the board on the river. Chung fired one more bet and Erickson finally slid his cards to the muck.
