The Wall of Witz Grows Again

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jonathan Witz's large stack had recently taken a few hits, but it's back over a million thanks to a recent hand with Brandon Schaefer.

On a turn board reading {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}, Schaefer bet 55,000 and got called by Witz.

The river brought the {4-Hearts} and again Schaefer bet, this time for 115,000. Witz responded quickly with a raise to 300,000.

After a brief deliberation, Schaefer folded, awarding the healthy pot to Witz, whose stack is back near the top of the leaderboard.

Yanovski Knocks Out Ohel

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Randy Ohel was faced with a decision for all of his chips after a bet from Leonid Yanovski on the river.

The board showed {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Yanovski bet enough to put Ohel all in, and Ohel said he needed to "trust himself" as he made the call. Yanovski turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a straight, and Ohel mucked as he wished the rest of the table good luck.
