Cautious Play After the Break

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The play has been slow since returning from dinner break, with very few chips changing hands through the first 10 minutes.

Tommy Le and Jordan Spurlin dueled to the river of a single raise pot, with Spurlin defending his big blind on a runout of {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}. Both players checked on the river, and Spurlin turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a straight to take in a small pot.

Maksimov Finds the Upgrade

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

A recent big pot between Tommy Le and Artem Maksimov ended in an intersting fashion.

Maksimov raised to 250,000 from the button and got called by Le in the small blind and Eli Elezra in the big blind.

On the {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Le led out for 300,000, Elezra folded, and Maksimov called.

The turn came with the {q-Spades} and this time Le checked to Maksimov, who put out a 650,000 chip bet. Le thought for a minute then called.

The river brought the {4-Clubs}, and both players checked.

Maksimov said to Le, "You win, I think", but Le didn't seem so sure.

Maksimov hesitantly rolled over {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a small full house, fours full of eights. It was plenty good though, as Le pitched his cards into the muck.

"There it is, the upgrade to the seven-four" commented Chris Sandrock, who recently won a big pot against Jeremy Ausmus with fours full of sevens.

Elezra Wins One; Ausmus Gets Shorter

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Eli Elezra raised the button to 300,000 and Chris Sandrock defended the big blind. On a flop of {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Sandrock checked and Elezra bet the pot for 750,000 with very few chips behind.

"I couldn't sleep well if I did that to you, well maybe I could," Sandrock grinned and tossed his cards into the muck with a big smile on the face.

Tommy Le then limped in and Jeremy Ausmus raised the pot to 450,000 on the button.

"The same," Sandrock said and repotted. Le quickly folded, Ausmus checked his remaining chips and folded as well to get shown pocket aces by Sandrock.

Le Finds a Flush

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Chris Sandrock and Tommy Le called and Eli Elezra checked in the big blind to see a {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. Elezra took the betting lead for 125,000 and both players called ahead of the {j-Hearts} turn. Sandrock bet 300,000 and Le called while Elezra folded, and both remaining players checked the {2-Diamonds} river. Le revealed {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush to regain some chips at Sandrock's expense.

Maksimov Shows Spurlin the Key Card

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Artem Maksimov
Artem Maksimov

Jordan Spurlin limped his small blind, then called a raise to 275,000 from Artem Maksimov in the big blind.

Both players checked the {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop, then on the {7-Diamonds} turn, Spurlin led out for 500,000. Maksimov called.

Spurlin then checked the {a-Diamonds} river and Maksimov put out a bet of 800,000, which Spurlin folded to.

As the pot was pushed toward him, Maksimov showed Spurlin the {k-Diamonds}, suggesting he could have made the nut flush. But then again, this is Pot-Limit Omaha. Maybe he made it, maybe he didn't.

Triple Up for Ausmus

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jeremy Ausmus
Jeremy Ausmus

After winning a small pot off Tommy Le, Chris Sandrock limped in from under the gun and Jordan Spurlin did so from one seat over. Eli Elezra completed out of the small blind and Jeremy Ausmus checked his option in the big blind. The flop came {q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Elezra checked for Ausmus to bet the pot for 500,000 with 95,000 behind.

Sandrock called and Spurlin then asked the floor if the action would be locked if Elezra would go all-in. Since Elezra only had 995,000 behind and was one chip off a full raise, it was capped. Spurlin then called and Elezra jokingly said "I would have raised" before tossing his cards into the muck.

The {3-Clubs} on the turn was checked by Ausmus and Sandrock bet 600,000. Spurlin tank-called and Ausmus called all-in. The {q-Hearts} river was checked and Ausmus rolled over the {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for the nut full house. Sandrock had a flush with the {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} but earned none of the side pot as Spurlin's {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} had made the nut flush.

Elezra mentioned in table chat that he had folded a queen after all was done and dusted.

Le Raises the Stakes

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Tommy Le and Chris Sandrock called the big blind and Jordan Spurlin checked to see the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Sandrock bet 250,000 and got a call from Le after Spurlin folded. Sandrock bet the {6-Clubs} turn for 600,000 only to be faced with a pot-sized raise from Le for 2,600,000 chips. Sandrock slid his cards to the dealer and Le raked in the chips.
