Schumacher Check-Raises Boivin

Johan Schumacher raised to 80,000 from under the gun and got three callers. Thomas Boivin in middle position, AP Garza in the hijack and Gershon Distenfeld in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Destenfeld and Schumacher checked. Boivin bet 130,000. Garza and Distenfeld folded but Schumacher put in a raise to 250,000. Boivin mucked his hand fairly quick.

Johan Schumacher opened to 80,000 from early position and Sohale Khalili three-bet to 225,000 from middle position. Schumacher called.

Schumacher check-called a bet of 175,000 on the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked the {5-Spades} turn, and Schumacher led for most of his remaining chips on the {a-Hearts} river, which caused Khalili to lay down his hand.

Jonathan Betancur limped from middle position and Sohale Khalili raised to 150,000 from the hijack. Thomas Boivin called from the cutoff, and so did Betancur.

Khalili bet 175,000 on the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and only Betancur continued.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn, and Khalili folded to Betancur's 250,000 river lead.

David Tran opened to 80,000 from early position and he was called by Ari Engel in middle position, Sohale Khalili on the button and AP Garza completed the action in the big blind.

Tran continued for a bet of 80,000 when it was checked to him on a {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. Engel called the 80,000 but Khalili and Garza let their hands go.

The {q-Spades} fell on the turn. Tran who was first to act led for 180,000 to which Engel called again.

The board completed when the {2-Spades} hit the river. This time Tran sized up with a bet of 325,000. Engel counted out calling chips then set them aside to think the hand over. He looked at Tran and said, "Do you have me beat?". Engel mucked his hand a few moments later

Jonathan Betancur called in middle position and Sohale Khalili raised to 100,000 in the hijack. Thomas Boivin called in the cutoff, Orson Young called in the small blind, and David Tran called in the big blind, while Betancur folded.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Boivin bet 130,000 and only Tran continued. Both players checked the {3-Hearts} turn.

The {k-Spades} completed the board and Tran led for 425,000. Boivin folded and Tran picked up the pot.

The turn card brought the {q-Spades}. Betancur took the betting lead and tossed out a bet of 75,000 to which Boivin called.

The {k-Diamonds} completed the board. Betancur slowed down and checked. Boivin was pushing out a bet of 200,000 but Betancur folded before the chips were in the pot.

Craig Trost opened to 70,000 from early position and Gershon Distenfeld three-bet to 230,000 from middle position. Action folded back to Trost who four-bet to 750,000. Distenfeld then jammed in his stack of about 2,000,000.

Trost joked, "Well, I hope it's not a cold deck." He put in the call while appearing to expect the worst.

It was a classic cooler to start the day. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to send Trost to the rail and give Distenfeld an early double.
