Zurr Wins Set-Over-Set Hand

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Picking up the action on the flop of {5-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Shai Zurr bet 1,000 in early position and the next player to act called.

Sam Grafton check-raised to 3,000 in the small blind and Zurr called, while the other player raised to 8,000. Grafton quickly folded and Zurr called.

Zurr checked on the {6-Hearts} turn and called a bet of 6,000 from his opponent. Zurr check-called once more when facing a bet of 10,000 on the {2-Diamonds} river.

The opponent proudly tabled {3-}{3-} for a set but his pride faded when Zurr turned over {5-Spades}{5-} for a bigger set.

Top Pair for Ahmed

Niveau 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Faisal Ahmed raised the button to 600 and the big blind three-bet to 2,600, which he called.

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} and the big blind continued for 1,200 before Ahmed raised to 3,000. His opponent called and they saw the {8-Clubs} on the turn.

Both players checked and the dealer dropped the {10-Spades} on the river, and they both checked once again. Ahmed tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for top pair jack-kicker on the flop and his opponent mucked his hand.

Craig Varnell

There was heads-up action between Craig Varnell from the cutoff and Chance Kornuth from the button after a {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop.

Varnell check-raised to 3,600 after Kornuth fired out 1,2000 and Kornuth called bringing the {q-Spades} turn.

Varnell led out for 6,800 and Kornuth called once again to see the {7-Hearts} complete the board on the river. Varnell continued with his aggression and fired out a healthy 21,000 bet.

Kornuth took some time in the tank and glared at Varnell but ultimately mucked his hand.
