Chin Gets Her Aces Cracked

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Tommy Le opened to 6,000 from under the gun and Cary Katz three-bet to 13,000 on his left. Michelle Chin four-bet to 47,000 in the small blind and both Le and Katz called.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Chin ripped all in for just less than 80,000. Le also shoved all in over the top and Katz quickly folded.

Michelle Chin: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Tommy Le: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Chin held the best hand at the time but the {k-Hearts} on the turn quickly changed that. The {4-Spades} hit the river and Chin hit the rail as Le stacked the chips.

Katz Settles for a Chop Against Le

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Three ways to the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, the action checked to Cary Katz on the button and he bet 21,000. Tommy Le in the cutoff was the only caller and checked again the {j-Clubs} turn. Katz bet the pot for 62,000 and Le asked to see his stack size, then jammed and Katz snap-called.

Cary Katz: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Tommy Le: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

"Oh, I am freerolling," Katz exclaimed when he saw the cards. The board completed with the {k-Clubs} and Andjelko Andrejevic immediately said "oh my god, he got there," which left Katz somewhat surprised. He studied the board and then realized that Andrejevic had joked as it was indeed a chop. Le did have a redraw to a superior straight though, while Katz's flush draw missed as well.

Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Eelis Pärssinen opened in early position and Cary Katz defended in the big blind.

Katz checked on the flop of {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and called a bet of 15,000 from Pärssinen.

Katz checked again on the {4-Clubs} turn but then raised all-in for around 100,000 on top of a bet of 28,000 from his opponent.

"I would never bluff you. You're Finnish," Katz told his opponent, before clarifying that he might semi-bluff. "It's expensive to be a hero."

Pärssinen folded and Katz revealed {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in his hand to show he had a straight flush draw.
