Coleman Doubles Through Yockey

Niveau 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Maxx Coleman raised in middle position, and both Amir Mirrasouli and Bryce Yockey called in the blinds. Mirrasouli checked the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, and Yockey raised the pot. Coleman slid his remaining stack into the middle instantly, while Mirrasouli folded.

Coleman turned over {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for top pair, but was trailing Yockey's two pair with {k-}{10-}{x-}{x-}. The turn {5-Hearts} changed nothing, but the river {q-Diamonds} gave Coleman the best hand to double up.

Lau Shoves the First Hand

Niveau 21 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

John Beauprez opened to 60,000 on the button and Matthew Wantman called from the small blind. Ka Kwan Lau re-raised to 240,000 from the big blind which put Beauprez in the tank. Over a minute passed and Beauprez finally folded but Wantman called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Wantman checked to Lau who shoved all in for just over 200,000. Wantman instantly mucked and Lau scooped the first pot.

It's the penultimate day of Event #53: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller at the 2021 World Series of Poker, and only 25 players remain from a starting field of 212 entries that created a prize pool totaling $5,008,500. Each of the remaining contestants has locked up $44,807, with the eventual champion claiming a high stakes gold bracelet and top prize of $1,251,860.

The field is led by Ben Lamb in search of his second WSOP gold bracelet. Lamb was among the group of late registrants but managed to build up a stack of 3,885,000 entering Day three, ahead of Nathan Zimnik (2,535,000) and David Benyamine (2,340,000).
