Lau Doubles Twice To Leave Two Short

Niveau 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Ka Kwan Lau moved all in preflop and was at risk vs Robert Paddock.

Paddock was looking for his aces to hold up as he held the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} vs the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of Lau.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds} to send Lau into the lead, the turn was the {j-Spades} to give Lau a boat and the river improved his boat even further as the {9-Diamonds} came off and Paddock was left very short.

-
A couple of hands later, Lau was facing a decision on the flop of {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} in a three-way pot. Joao Vieira bet the pot for 480,000 from the big blind. Lau took quite a while before raising all in from early posiiton. David Benyamine made a reluctant fold from the cutoff.

Lau had the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} vs the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} of Vieira, this time hoping for aces to hold for him.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and the river came the {2-Diamonds} to keep the aces in the lead and Lau collected another huge double to surge in chips in the course of two hands.

Beauprez Doubles Through Lofberg

Niveau 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Simon Lofberg raised to 110,000 on the button and was called by Veselin Karakitukov in the small blind. John Beauprez shipped all in for 475,000 in the big blind and Lofberg re-shoved all in for 1,060,000. Karakitukov asked for a count but decided to fold and the two remaining hands were tabled.

John Beauprez: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}
Simon Lofberg: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} gave Lofberg two pair but Beauprez had a flush and straight draw. The {k-Hearts} and {j-Diamonds} runout would ultimately give Beauprez a straight and a double up through Lofberg.

The action folded to Shaun Deeb in the small blind who made it 150,000. Joao Vieira called from the big blind, leaving himself with just 85,000. chips. Deeb bet the 85,000 in the dark before the flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} hit the felt and Vieira snap-called.

Joao Vieira: {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Shaun Deeb: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}
