Vincas Tamasauskas Eliminated in 8th Place ($40,885)

Niveau 41 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante
Vincas Tamasauskas
Vincas Tamasauskas

Eric Kim limped and so did Michael Lee before Vincas Tamasauskas decided to raise to 32,000,000, with only one 100,000-chip left. Kim let it go but after some consideration, Lee made the call.

The flop brought {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Tamasauskas sent his last chip in the middle, called by Lee for the following showdown:

Vincas Tamasauskas: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Michael Lee: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Tamasauskas was in good shape for a double up but the rest of the board revealed a {2-Spades} and a {j-Spades}, to give a pair of jacks to Lee on the river and the winning hand.

Zyrin Calls Lee on the River

Niveau 41 : 1,200,000/2,400,000, 2,400,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin opened to 4,800,000 from under the gun and Michael Lee called from the big blind. The flop came {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked through to the {a-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Hearts} on the river.

Lee finally tossed in a large bet of 12,000,000 and Zyrin threw in a chip to call. Lee showed {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a pair of kings while Zyrin held {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a pair of aces.

Zyrin Shows a Bluff

Niveau 42 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin limped in from the small blind and Phuoc Nguyen checked his option. The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Zyrin led out with a bet of 3,500,000. Nguyen called and the {8-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Both players checked and the {7-Hearts} on the river put four hearts on the board. Zyrin sized up a bet of 9,500,000 and Nguyen quickly tossed his cards. Zyrin showed his rail {j-Spades}{6-Clubs} for complete air as he dragged in the pot.

Huge Double Up for Rand

Niveau 42 : 1,500,000/3,000,000, 3,000,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin opened to 6,000,000 from under the gun and Kevin Rand moved all in for 39,300,000 on the button. Zyrin asked for a quick count and then dropped some chips in to make the call.

Kevin Rand: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Despite being dominated preflop, Zyrin flopped the best hand on the {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop. However, the {k-Hearts} on the turn quickly flipped the script as Rand moved into the lead. The {6-Spades} on the river was a brick and Rand scored a big double up.
