Opponent: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Robert Varkonyi: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Wulff Makes a Full House to Double

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

The under-the-gun player raised to 6,000 and Tanya Wulff three-bet for all her chips, which was a total of 38,000. The player on her left called and the rest of the table folded.

Tanya Wulff: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Wulff was in trouble as she saw she was dominated and started to grab her stuff to leave. To her surprise though, the flop came {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, giving her top pair. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and she sat back down for the river {9-Spades}. Wulff made a full house to survive her tournament life.

Song the New Chip Leader

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Kevin Song
Kevin Song

The action was picked up preflop when Kevin Song called the all-in from a player who was short stacked to put the player at risk for his tournament life.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Kevin Song: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Song's opponent needed help but the board ran out {2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Spades} and with that pot there hasn't been a bigger stack seen in the tournament.

Song appears to be the chip leader here in Day 1 so far, and the bracelet winner will be looking to make a deep run.

Kubin Puts Pressure on Konnikova

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With about 25,000 chips already in the middle the flop read {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Maria Konnikova put out a bet of 16,000 in position. Thomas Kubin check-raised to 50,500 from the small blind, forcing Konnikova to a decision.

After giving it some serious thought, Konnikova mucked her hand and asked if Kubin would show. He responded, "I had sixes full." As he gave the cards back to the dealer, face down.
