On a {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop, Niklas Astedt was in middle position and had 5,500 chips committed to the pot. Kitty Kuo was in the cutoff and had raised to 13,000. Astedt called.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn and Astedt led for 21,000 on the {q-Diamonds} river. Kuo folded and Astedt took the pot.

On a board of {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and 4,500 in the pot, Florian Duta bet 1,500 in the big blind and Anthony Hu raised to 6,000 on the button. Duta then reraised to 18,000 and sent Hu into the tank. After some time, Hu threw his hand into the muck to give Duta some early chips.

The first day of Event #56: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship is set to begin at 3 p.m. local time at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

In the previous edition back in 2019, Anuj [Removed:550] took down this event after topping a field of 272 players to earn $630,747 and his maiden WSOP bracelet. He defeated Kahle Burns in heads-up play and Gal Yifrach rounded out the top three for that event.

This is a three-day event and the plan today is to play 10 levels of 60 minutes each with a 15-minute break every two levels. Players will start with 60,000 chips and blinds start at 100/200/200. Late registration will be available until the start of Day 2.
