Team Kono Takes Down Three-Bet Pot

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was a raise to 2,700 and Reiji Kono from Team Kono three-bet to 7,500 on the button and only the original raiser called.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Kono's opponent check-called a bet of 6,000.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and once checked to Kono fired in a bet of 18,000. His opponent took a little over a minute and Kono said, "You can pick one."

The opponent folded and tabled the {9-Hearts} for the top pair. Kono let him pick a card and the {q-Clubs} was exposed before he gave the cards back to the dealer.

Team Botfeld Puts Opponent in the Tank

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player from middle position raised to 2,600 and there was one caller before Amanda Botfeld from Team Botfeld made the call in the big blind.

On the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Botfeld check-raised the preflop raiser all-in from 3,600. The opponent went into the tank for about two minutes before a player on the table called clock. As the floor reached the table to give a countdown the player mucked his hand and the pot was awarded to Team Botfeld.

Team Hellmuth Loses Pot to a Fan

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth recently sat down in the tournament with partner Jeff Gross. Hellmuth was seen checking his option in the big blind after the player on the button limped in.

Hellmuth checked on the flop of {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and called when his opponent bet 1,200. Hellmuth checked once more on the {6-Diamonds} turn and folded when his opponent bet to put him all-in for 10,100.

"Good fold, man," his opponent said before showing the {6-Spades} in his hand. "I didn't want to bust you. You're one of my favorite players, I've been watching you for years."

Hellmuth gave his opponent a polite nod but did not look like he was in the mood for table talk.

Jacks Hold for Team Pfeifer

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After getting 6,400 in the middle preflop Stuart Pfeifer of Team Pfeifer had his opponent at risk of busting the tournament.

Opponent: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Team Pfeifer: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for neither player to improve but the opponent picked up a gutshot straight draw. As he called for a ten, the board completed with the {a-Hearts} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river and looked disappointed as he was eliminated by Team Pfeifer.

Team Roldan Wins a Flip

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With both hands already tabled Grace Roldan of Team Roldan had her opponent at risk for roughly 40,000 in chips.

Opponent: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Grace Roldan: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

It was a coinflip and Roldan hit immediately on the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop to take the lead. The turn was the {a-Diamonds} to give Roldan two pair and the river changed nothing when the {j-Diamonds} came.
