Seidel Shoves River on Ho

Erik Seidel and Maria Ho were mixing it up again as action was picked up on the turn on a board that read {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}.

The pot was about 45,000 and Seidel led with a bet of 25,000 from the big blind while Ho took a while before calling from the cutoff.

The river came the {5-Spades}. Seidel jammed for his remaining 53,500. Ho checked her cards twice and took about 30 seconds before laying her hand down.

David Peters in the hijack called a 3,000 bet from his opponent in the small blind on a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. The small blind fired for 7,000 on the {9-Spades} turn and Peters again called.

The river brought the {2-Hearts} and the small blind bet 7,000, which Peters responded to with a raise to 36,000.

The small blind called and mucked when Peters tabled {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a rivered flush.

Ho Gets Seidel to Lay it Down

Erik Seidel on the button and Maria Ho in the big blind were involved in a hand on a board of {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Ho fired a bet of 4,000 on the turn and Seidel flicked in a call.

The river came the {4-Spades} and Ho fired a big bet of 14,000. Seidel gave it some thought before folding.

McKeehen Chipping Up Early

The flop read {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Joe McKeehen bet 2,500 and was called by Julien Martini.

The two players saw the {7-Hearts} on the turn and both checked.

The river came the {a-Hearts}. McKeehen put out a pot-sized up bet of 10,500 which Martini could not call to send the pot over to McKeehen, who has started off well in level 1 action.

Altman Gets After It on the First Hand

On the first hand of the day, Barry Hutter opened to 3,000 on the button which was met by a three-bet to 18,000 from Pierre Calamusa in the small blind. Brian Altman was sitting in the big blind and took some time before counting out a four-bet to 37,000. Hutter quickly folded and Calamusa called.

They went heads-up to a flop of {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Calamusa check-called a bet of 22,000 from Altman.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Calamusa checked again and Altman ripped all in for around 90,000. Calamusa thought it over for a minute before ditching his {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} into the muck.
