Ohel Eliminated by Klein

Niveau 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Chad Campbell raised on the button and Randy Ohel called all-in for less from the small blind. Jesse Klein also called from the big blind.

All three players drew two and Campbell called a bet from Klein.

Ohel and Campbell drew two on the second draw and Klein stood pat. Klein bet again and Campbell appeared to want to call, but mistakenly put in enough chips to denote a raise. The dealer ruled it was a raise and Klein then made it three bets to go. Campbell called.

Ohel and Campbell drew one on the end and Klein again stood pat. Klein bet and Campbell folded.

Ohel had drawn to an eighty-seven, but it was no good against the {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} of Klein and Ohel was eliminated.

On the tail end in a battle between Josh Arieh and Daniel Negreanu, the former bet 25,000 on the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} river while in the big blind. Negreanu then raised to 175,000 from under the gun and that sent Arieh into the tank. No call followed and the pot was sent over to Negreanu, who surpassed Arieh on the leaderboard.

No-Limit Hold'em

In the last few hands of Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, Cary Katz chipped up through George Alexander before then losing a pot to Ben Lamb when the latter started by drawing three against a pat nine-six and made an eighty-seven.

When the game type changed, Chad Eveslage opened to 27,000 and was called by Lamb, Katz and George Alexander. The {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop was checked to Lamb and he bet 54,000 to win the pot.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Action was picked up after the draw with Chris Brewer facing a 140,000 chip overbet from Josh Arieh with approximately 100,000 already in the pot.

Brewer pondered his decision for a while before dropping in the chips to call.

Arieh spread {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and Brewer tossed his cards into the muck.

The win vaults Arieh's stack over the one-million chip mark.

No-Limit Hold'em

Heads-up on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}, Ben Lamb had a 63,000 bet in front of him from the small blind and George Alexander announced he was all in for 282,000 on top. Lamb called to put Alexander at risk.

Ben Lamb: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
George Alexander: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Alexander was ahead with his overpair, and the {7-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river kept him out in front for the double up.

Yitzhaki's Draw Beats Cates

Niveau 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

After both Dan Cates and Roman Yitzhaki took one on the final draw, Cates bet into Yitzhaki and was met with a raise.

"That's not good. That's bad" said the current chip leader, Cates.

Ultimately he flicked in a calling chip and saw an eight-perfect ({8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}) turned up by Yitzhaki to take down the pot.

Ben Lamb raised in the hijack and called a three-bet by Cary Katz in the cutoff. On the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, Lamb bet and Katz called to be left with 33,000 behind. Lamb bet the {2-Spades} turn and called the 3,000 more as Katz jammed.

Friedman Rivers the Nuts

Niveau 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Eli Elezra had just folded the overbet by Roman Yitzhaki on the {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Spades} river and Dan Cates then raised to 20,000 from under the gun. Yitzhaki and Adam Friedman in the big blind called to see a flop of {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} on which Friedman checked, Cates bet 25,000 and received two calls.

The {9-Spades} turn was checked to Yitzhaki and he bet 65,000 for Friedman to call and Cates to fold. Friedman checked the {3-Clubs} river and Yitzhaki checked behind to get shown {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut straight by Friedman. He flashed an ace and Friedman immediately said "good check."

Katz Has Nine Lives

Niveau 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Omaha Hi-Lo

Cary Katz was recently all-in again and yet again lived to tell the tale.

Multiple bets went in three-ways before the flop between Katz, George Alexander, and Chad Eveslage.

Katz led out in early position on the {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop, and was called by both his opponents.

On the {j-Diamonds} turn, Katz fired out his last 17,000 chips, and was again called in both places.

The river brought the {3-Diamonds}, and Alexander checked to Eveslage, who bet into the side pot.

Alexander took a bit of time, but called.

Cary Katz: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}
George Alexander:{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Chad Eveslage: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Alexander's chips were split between Katz, who had the nut flush for the high and Eveslage, whose ace-deuce gave him the low.
