In a spectacular hand near the end of Day 2, Matthew Kaplan (3,145,000 chips) took over the chip lead and will carry that lead into the final day as he searches for his first WSOP gold bracelet.
Positioned directly behind Kaplan is a gentleman looking to add to his already spectacular resume.
