Luigi Curcio
Luigi Curcio

Pot-Limit Omaha

Justin Liberto opened to 2,800 and it was called by the button and Luigi Curcio in the big blind. The flop {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} came and it was checked to Liberto who continued for 4,100, only called by Curcio.

Things heated on the {3-Diamonds} turn. Curcio check-raised all in for 26,900 after Liberto fired 20,000. Liberto called to create the following showdown.

Luigi Curcio: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Justin Liberto: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Curcio had two pair and a {3-Spades} on the river didn't change anything to give him the double up.

Julien Martini: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Early Position: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Martini's pair of aces stayed in front. He tripled up his 19,400 stack, while Deeb handed over 16,000 to the early position player.

No-Limit Hold'em

With the board showing {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and a big pot already in the middle, Niklas Astedt slid forward a tower of pink 5,000 chips for a bet totaling 85,000.

His opponent in the small blind tanked for about two minutes before calling. Astedt turned over {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for the flopped set that became a full house on the river and the small blind mucked, claiming to have had ace-king.

"Nice hand. Very, very nice hand," he told Astedt.

"That makes it easier," Astedt replied when told what his opponent was holding.
