Deeb Can't Crack Cowboys

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

The player under the gun opened for 2,200 and found two callers before newly crowned five-time WSOP bracelet winner Shaun Deeb three-bet to 10,100 from the big blind.

Action was back on the initial raiser who jammed for 38,000 and only Deeb called.

Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Deeb was behind and nothing changed after the {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} runout as he doubled his opponent.

A Few More Familiar Faces In the Sea of Humanity

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

With the total entrants approaching 3,300 and late registration lines now weaving through the Pavilion and Brasilia rooms and the Rio hallway, a few more notables have been spotted in the field.

Tran Cracks Queens

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player in early position opened to 1,500 and an opponent to his left three-bet to 5,000. Trung Tran, who after the hand joked with PokerNews about his play, four-bet to 15,000. Both players called.

The flop came out {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Tran bet 14,000. One player folded and the initial pre-flop raiser moved all-in for Tran's 38,800 stack. Tran called with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and was behind {q-}{q-}.

The {k-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing, but the river {a-Hearts} gave Tran more than a full double up on a suck-out. He laughed about rivering the pot afterwards and wanted PokerNews to make sure to put in the update that his opponent yelled "s**t" when the ace hit on the river.

Daniel Sepiol raised to 1,500 from the hijack and then called the 4,700 three-bet his opponent made from the cutoff.

The {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop saw Sepiol check-call the 4,500 continuation bet from his opponent and the {j-Spades} turn was checked by both players to the {3-Diamonds} river.

Sepiol led out for 25,000 and his opponent folded after tanking for a few minute.

A player from middle position raised to 1,600 and then called the 5,600 three-bet four-time WSOP bracelet winner Asi Moshe tossed out from the small blind.

The {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop saw Moshe continue for 5,000 and his opponent called bringing the {j-Spades} turn.

Both players checked and the {10-Spades} completed the board. Moshe led out for 22,900, his opponent called only to fold after Moshe rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for Broadway.
