Watson's Stack Shrinks, Disappears After the Bubble

Niveau 19
Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson called down bets from Espen Sandvik right through seventh street with their boards reading,

Mike Watson: {x-}{x-}/{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}/{x-}
Espen Sandvik: {x-}{x-}/{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}/{x-}

After Watson called the final bet, Sandvik showed {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a seven-high straight and seven-low.

Watson mucked his cards and was left with crumbs, that vanished shortly after.

Reid Finally Bests Yu

Niveau 19

Jermaine Reid: {x-}{x-}/{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}/{x-}
Sean Yu: {x-}{x-}/{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}/{x-}

Sean Yu completed before Jermaine Reid raised. Yu called, as did Dan Colpoys. Colpoys folded on fifth street, leaving Reid and Yu to go heads-up to seventh.

"Let me win one pot off you today," Reid said as he put out a bet. Reid stood up from his chair and started rubbing his hands together over his cards.

Yu went deep into the tank for several minutes before saying "You got it" and throwing his hand in the muck.

Gamble Peels a Double

Niveau 19

Nathan Gamble: {x-}{x-}/{6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}/{x-}
John Monnette: {x-}{x-}/{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}/{x-}
Michael Gyger: {x-}{x-}/{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}/{x-}

Michael Gyger bet on both fourth and fifth streets and was called by Nathan Gamble and John Monnette. On sixth, Gamble paused for a moment before putting out a bet, leaving himself only 7,000 behind.

Monnette called and Gyger raised. Gamble called all in, while Monnette also called. Both Gyger and Monnette checked on seventh.

Monnette showed {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for a flush and Gyger had {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a low. Gamble showed the {6-Spades}{4-Spades} first and needed to catch another spade to stay alive. He peeled his last card and thought it was a deuce before he exposed the {k-Spades} to make his flush.

Gamble and Gyger split the pot, while Monnette was left watching his chips split between his two opponents.
