Zsuffa Runs into a Bigger Pair

Niveau 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Peter Kaemmerlen raised the hijack to 300,000 and Miklos Zsuffa jammed for about 1,200,000 on the button. The blinds quickly folded and Kaemmerlen instantly called.

Miklos Zsuffa: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Peter Kaemmerlen: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Zsuffa was unlucky to run into a bigger pocket pair and the flop of {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} was no help. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn gave him a gutshot straight draw but the {4-Clubs} was a brick.

Blanchard Takes a Chunk Out of Holodiuk

Niveau 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Leonid Yanovski raised to 200,000 in middle position and Serhii Holodiuk three-bet to 1,100,000 in the cutoff. Duane Blanchard was on the button and called off his 785,000 before Yanovski mucked his hand.

Duane Blanchard: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Serhii Holodiuk: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}, smashing both players with Blanchard making a set of jacks and Holodiuk flopping Broadway. The {k-Spades} on the turn gave Blanchard a few more outs to chop and the {10-Hearts} paired the board, securing his double up.
