La dernière fois que le tricolore s'était illustré c'était sur le DSO Paris de juillet où il avait connu une belle première journée qui ne lui avait pas permise d'aller jusqu'aux places payées. Habitué des joutes parisiennes, cet amateur discret n'est plus très loin de battre son record de gains établi à l'occasion du Winamax Poker 2016 qu'il avait terminé 17e (pour l'équivalent de 5972$), il a même une nuit pour rêver d'une très probable finale WSOP, d'un gain de 132,844$ et pourquoi pas d'une breloque!

Outre le chipleader américain Matt Mamiya (3,1 millions), il faudra se méfier de d'un éventuel retour de l'arrière du Team Pro Winamax et spécialiste des Expressos, l'Espagnol Borja Gross. A moins que cela ne soit le joueur partpoker Jeff Gross (1 million) qui ne tire son épingle du jeu...
