Ciklamini Draws for a Double

Niveau 21

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Patrik Ciklamini shoved from the big blind for 155,000 and Asher Lower called after limping from the small blind.

Asher took one card and Ciklamini drew two, turning over {q-}{j-}{10-}{7-}{5-} for queen high.

Asher turned over {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and peeled a {k-} to make king high and hand Ciklamini a double.

No-Limit Hold'em

On a turn board reading {k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Asher Lower check-called a 50,000 chip bet from Patrik Ciklamini.

On the river {j-Spades}, Lower checked again and Ciklamini moved all-in for Lower's last 146,000 chips.

After a bit of deliberation, Ciklamini called and saw nothing but {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} from Ciklamini for ace-high.

Lower turned over {q-Clubs}{8-Spades} for fourth pair on board, which was the winner, as he picked off the bluff and boosted his stack to almost 500,000.

Strebkov Draws First Blood

Niveau 21

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Action was picked up with a decent-sized pot already built.

Noah Boeken drew one card, while chip leader Denis Strebkov patted behind him.

After the draw, Boeken checked to Strebkov who bet 140,000 which represented over half of Boeken's remaining stack. After a couple of minutes of deliberation, Boeken opted to fold and preserve his remaining stack for a better spot.

Bohlman Goes For Second Mixed Big Bet Title Tuesday

Scott Bohlman
Scott Bohlman

Scott Bohlman takes the third biggest stack into play Tuesday as he tries to overcome 13 other players and claim a second World Series of Poker bracelet in Event #74: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet. Bohlman was the second-ever champion of this event in 2018, and the 827,000 chips he returns with today are more than enough to do plenty of damage.

He and the rest of the field will be trying to chase down Denis Strebkov of Russia, who starts the day with a significant chip lead. His 1,425,000 chips are almost 600,000 more than his nearest contender, Shanmukha Meruga, who enters with 877,000.

Strebkov is no stranger to the big stage of deep runs in WSOP or this format, as he made three mixed game final tables in 2019, including a win in the $3,000 H.O.R.S.E. event.

Meruga, meanwhile, has earned just his second-ever WSOP Las Vegas cash to go with a couple of WSOP Circuit and online cashes. His career WSOP earnings of just under $30,000 could get a big boost if he were to claim the $117,898 top prize.

The remaining field also has plenty of star power and mixed game veterans including Noah Boeken (455,000), Jon Turner (415,000), Amnon Filippi (371,000), Jerry Wong (355,000), and Jordan Siegel (274,000).

Action will resume at 2:00 pm local time in the gold section of the Amazon Room with Level 21 and will play until a winner is crowned and a bracelet is awarded.
