The second and final day of Event #83: $1,500 The Closer is set to begin at noon local time at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

The total prize pool is $2,540,505 and out of 1,903 total entrants, only 63 players remain. On Day 1a, 802 players started the day and only 25 ended the day, with Osman Ihlamur bagging the chip lead with 1,765,000 chips. On Day 1b, 1,101 players started the day and only 38 ended the day, with Alex Kulev bagging the overall chip lead of 2,685,000.

Other notables still in the field include Chris Moorman (1,250,000), Kenny Hallaert (1,250,000), Ryan Riess (1,070,000), Michael Wang (1,010,000), Yuval Bronshtein (1,010,000), Stephen Song (535,000), Landon Tice (330,000), and Melanie Weisner (280,000).
