Badziakouski Leaves Chidwick with a Single Chip

Niveau 23 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Stephen Chidwick fired out a bet of 700,000 chips (with a single 25k chip behind) and was called by his lone opponent, Mikita Badziakouski.

The dealer burned and turned the {6-Spades} and both players checked.

The dealer dealt the river card {3-Hearts} and Chidwick checked again. Next, Badziakouski placed a single one million chip in the middle and Chidwick laid it down, and Badziakouski was awarded the pot.

Ali Imsirovic Eliminated in 6th Place ($278,840)

Niveau 23 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

Ali Imsirovic raised to 975,000 in first position, leaving himself just 175,000 behind.

As he has been known to do, Lin chose to gamble in the big blind and moved all-in. Imsirovic called.

"Not like this", said Imsirovic as the cards were placed on their backs.

Ali Imsirovic: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Ren Lin: {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}

But it was like that for Imsirovic as the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop brought a pair for Lin, and the {2-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river couldn't save Imsirovic, who was eliminated in sixth place.

Stephen Chidwick Eliminated in 5th Place ($367,153)

Niveau 23 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Stephen Chidwick was all in for his last 300,000 in the big blind and action folded around to Jason Koon in the small blind, who called to put Chidwick at risk.

Stephen Chidwick: {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Jason Koon: {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Chidwick was in rough shape, and the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} runout kept Koon in the lead — eliminating Chidwick in fifth place.

All of the chips went into the middle preflop and it was the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} held by Jason Koon all-in and at-risk versus the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} held by Makita Badziakouski.

The dealer ran out the board of {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Koon survived his all-in and secured a double up.

Jason Koon Eliminated in 4th Place ($489,585)

Niveau 24 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Jason Koon
Jason Koon

Jason Koon shoved for his last 4.5 million from the button and Mikita Badziakouski re-raised from the small blind.

Ren Lin went deep into the tank from the big blind and burned all of his time extension before folding what he claimed to be pocket jacks.

Jason Koon: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Mikita Badziakouski: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} runout gave Badziakouski a bit of a sweat, but the {4-Hearts} river kept Badziakouski's queens best and Koon was eliminated in fourth place.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 3rd Place ($661,041)

Daniel Negreanu

Mikita Badziakouski moved all-in from the button and after some deliberation, Negreanu uttered the table mantra "no gamble, no future", and shoved his chips forward from the big blind.

Daniel Negreanu: {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}

The {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop was great for Negreanu, giving him a pair. The {3-Spades} kept him alive as well, but the {a-Diamonds} fell on the river, giving Badziakouski the winner, and sending Negreanu out in 3rd place.

Lin Takes the Chip Lead

Niveau 25 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

Mikita Badziakouski limped on the button/small blind, and Ren Lin raised to 1.5 million in the big blind.

Badziakouski called to see the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} fall on the flop.

Lin checked and Badziakouski bet 800,000, which Lin called.

On the {q-Clubs} turn, Lin checked again, and Badziakouski sized up to 3.3 million.

Lin then uttered the now famous words, "no gamble, no future", and pushed the rest of his chips forward, for approximately 9 million total.

Badziakouski quickly folded, and with the win, Lin has now taken over the chip lead.

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Ren Lin checked and called the 500,000 chip bet by his opponent, Mikita Badziakouski.

The dealer burned and turned the {4-Clubs} and this time Lin checked and called 1.7 million.

The river card was the {6-Hearts} and Lin checked one last time. Next, Badziakouski checked back and mucked after Lin tabled {5-Spades}{2-Spades} for a full house, sixes full of fives, and was awarded the pot.

The {j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop vaulted Lin into the lead and the {7-Clubs} turn nearly sealed his victory, however, the {6-Clubs} river paired Badziakouski's six and he doubled up through Lin.
