River Overbet from Choi

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Susan Choi
Susan Choi

Susan Choi was in position in a single-raised pot against Ben Underwood and Aleksandr Shevlyakov.

Underwood bet 2,000 on the flop reading {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Spades} and both opponents called. Underwood sized up to 7,600 on the {8-Hearts} turn and both players again called.

Underwood slowed down and checked when the {5-Diamonds} peeled off on the river and Shevlyakov also checked. Choi took a few minutes to make a decision and stacked up her yellow and orange chips before sliding out an overbet of 60,000 into the pot of just under 35,000.

Underwood and Shevlyakov both folded after some deliberation. The only information Choi gave her opponents is that she didn't have an ace.

Tabarin Gets a Fold from Mccleery

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Lucas Tabarin raised in early position to 1,500 and only Andrew Mccleery got interested and called in the big blind.

The flop revealed {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Tabarin bet 1,300 after a check from Mccleery. The latter thought about his move for a minute and raised it to 6,300. Tabarin called.

A {a-Hearts} hit the turn Tabarin led out for 7,000. Mccleery tanked for some time but eventually folded.

Yueh Makes the Right Choice

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Joining the action on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} turn, Jonathan Yueh bet 11,100 out of the blinds and Tom Choi then raised to 30,000. Yueh had some 32,000 behind and was sent into the think tank.

"I have a big hand, I will show," Choi promised. Yueh reacted to that, gave it some more thought and folded the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} face-up. Choi kept his promise and revealed {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a flopped set of fours.

"Wow, what a laydown, I could not fold that," Choi remarked. Another player at the table chimed in "Main Event baby, Main Event."

Miles Shows a Nine

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Throughout the last few hours, Tony Miles has been steadily increasing his stack throughout a lot of smaller pots as he climbed from a shorter stack. In the latest hand he bet the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} river for 8,000 when checked to. His table neighbour eventually folded and Miles flashed the {9-Diamonds}.

Zeitler Continues on the Flop

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Thomas Zeitler raised 1,500 under the gun and only Jungwon Kim called in the small blind.

Kim checked smoke before the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop hit and Zeitler continued for 2,000. Kim snap-folded and the dealer shipped the pot to Zeitler.

Farber Finds a Double

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Jay Farber
Jay Farber

Jay Farber shoved under-the-gun for his last 8,200 and was three-bet by the player directly behind him. Everyone else folded and cards were revealed.

Jay Farber: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Farber was in rough shape, but the {2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} runout provided him with a runner-runner straight, which was good for the double up.

Tran Let it Go

Niveau 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The under-the-gun player opened for 1,100 and JC Tran three-bet to 3,500 from the button. He was called by Paul Newey in the small blind, the player in the big blind, and the under-the-gun player to create a four-way pot.

The flop came {9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Tran continued for 5,500 after it was checked to him. Newey and the big blind folded but the under-the-gun player decided to raise it to 12,000. Tran called.

When the {7-Clubs} fell on the turn, the under-the-gun player bet 13,000 and after some thinking, Tran mucked his cards.
