Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr raised to 500,000 on the button, leaving about 70,000 behind, and Sean Winter called in the small blind.

Shannon Shorr: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Sean Winter: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Winter flopped top pair but Shorr was ahead with two pair, and the {4-Spades} and {7-Diamonds} completed the board to secure Shorr's double.

Niveau 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jake Schindler
Jake Schindler

With major ICM implications on the line, Andrew Lichtenberger was trying to bully the table with his big stack. When the action folded to him on the button, Lichtenberger just shoved all in. However, Jake Schindler woke up in the small blind with a monster and called off his stack of 2,680,000.

Jake Schindler: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Andrew Lichtenberger: {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} to give Lichtenberger a pair of fours and some outs. The {k-Spades} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river secured the double up for Schindler who moved into the lead.

Shorr Gets Short, Triples Up

Niveau 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The action folded to Shannon Shorr on the button who raised to 1,200,000. Sean Winter moved all in for 1,420,000 in the small blind and Shorr quickly called.

Sean Winter: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Shannon Shorr: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Winter's pocket tens held on for a double up.

Just a couple of hands later, David Peters raised to 240,000 and Shorr was all in for 230,000 on his left. Dario Sammartino also called from the big blind and the flop came {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Sammartino and Peters both checked to the {8-Hearts} on the turn.

Sammartino led out with a bet of 240,000 which got Peters to fold. Sammartino showed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} but was behind the {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} of Shorr. The {k-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Shorr tripled up.

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Punnat Punsri opened to 270,000 from under the gun and Dan Smith used a time bank before ripping all in for around 1,560,000 in the small blind. Punsri re-checked his cards and quickly called.

Dan Smith: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Punnat Punsri: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Smith needed to hit one of the three elusive aces left in the deck but was unable to find one on the flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The {k-Spades} on the turn gave Punsri a set and Smith was left drawing dead to the {k-Hearts} on the river.
