Raghaven Doubles Up

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Action was picked up on the {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. 310,000 was already in the middle. Ravi Raghavan fired for 90,000 before Michael Phillips jammed. Raghavan, with the effective stack of 645,000, snap called.

Ravi Raghavan: {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Michael Phillips: {6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Raghavan had flopped trips to be ahead of Phillips' top pair. No help would come for Phillips, as the board bricked out for him, and Raghavan even improved to a full house on the {a-} river. Raghavan doubled up, taking a commanding chip lead in heads-up play.

Leonard Battles Back Against Song

Niveau 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Table 610 was the first of the day to reach heads-up play, with Kevin Song squaring off against Patrick Leonard. Song had built quite a chip lead as the table size dwindled, but Leonard continues to battle back.

Action was picked up after the river. The board read {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades} with 95,000 already in the pot. Song bet 55,000 before Leonard jammed with the effective stack of 270,000. Song took several minutes, but eventually found the call.

Leonard turned over {j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, good for top two. Song mucked his hand. Leonard asked to see his cards, as players are required to show their hands in an all-in situation. The floor quickly came over, and informed Song that he cannot muck his hand after calling a shove. Two cards that were believed to be Song's cards were turned over, those being {j-}{6-}, but it was unclear if these were in fact Song's hole cards.

Wilson's Pocket Pair Holds to Double Up

Niveau 21 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Marc Levy moved all in from the cutoff, receiving a snap call from Dan Wilson in the big blind. Wilson was just barely covered by Levy, with the effective stack being 190,000.

Dan Wilson: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Marc Levy: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} gave Levy a pair of sevens, but that was not enough to win the pot. Wilson scooped the pot, doubling up, and in doing so, left Levy with just a single chip worth 5,000. Levy was the big blind on the next hand, and was promptly eliminated.
