Ryan Ramsdell

Blinds 15,000-30,000

Heads up, Ryan Ramsdell raised to 60,000 from the button and Michael Simhai made the call.

The flop brought {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and both players checked.

On the {k-Spades} turn, Simhai checked and Ramsdell bet 80,000. Simhai called.

When the {q-Diamonds} river hit, Simhai checked for a third time. Ramsdell moved all in for 815,000. After some thought, Simhai folded.

Both players have very similar stacks, engaged in heads up play to move on to the final table.

Dula Rivers Broadway to Double Up

Niveau 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Blinds: 15,000-30,000
Timothy McDermott moved all in from the small blind. Dalibor Dula made the call, with the effective stack of 395,000

Dalibor Dula: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Timothy McDermott: {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

With Dula already ahead, the {5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts} board gave him the Broadway straight on the river. Dula scooped the pot, doubling up, and taking a chunk of McDermott's stack, which was still the largest at the three handed table.

Simhai Moves on to the Final Table

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action picked up with cards on their backs preflop and both Michael Simhai and Ryan Ramsdell all in.

Michael Simhai: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Ryan Ramsdell: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

"It had to happen like this," said Simhai.

Both Simhai and Ramsdell had been battling back and forth for some time., Simhai barely had Ramsdell covered.

The flop looked safe for Ramsdell when the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} came out. The {a-Hearts} was a dagger, though. The river {6-Hearts} sealed the deal, giving Simhai the better full house and the winner.

McDermott Hits an Ace to Knockout Zulker

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Michael Zulker wasted little time before shoving from the small blind with 880,000. Timothy McDermott, the table's chip leader, made the call.

Michael Zulker: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Timothy McDermott: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Zulker was ahead, but that changed quickly when the {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop gave McDermott top pair. The {k-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river changed nothing, and McDermott took the pot with top pair. Zulker was sent to the rail, as McDermott began heads-up play with Dalibor Dula.

McDermott Secures Spot at Final Table

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Both Timothy McDermott and Dalibor Dula were all in preflop and Dula was at risk.

Timothy McDermott: {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Dalibor Dula {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board was safe for Dula on the {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop and the {q-Clubs} turn. However, the {k-Clubs} hit the river and booked McDermott's ticket to the final table.

Dowdy Doubles Up; Advances Moments Later

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After Jiacong Zhang limped, David Dowdy moved all in with the effective stack of 625,000. Zhang made the snap call.

David Dowdy: {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Jiacong Zhang: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Dowdy was behind and would need some help to stay in the tournament. That help did not arrive on the {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop. The {a-Clubs} turn didn't change much, but Dowdy still had outs. He hit one of those outs in the form of the {a-Hearts} river, which counterfeited Zhang's hand, and Dowdy took the pot with the better kicker. This gave the two relatively even stacks, and play continued with Zhang visibly upset.

A few hands later, David Dowdy moved all in with the big stack of 1,500,000. Jiacong Zhang took a moment to prepare his phone to record the runout before making the call.

Jiacong Zhang: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
David Dowdy: {k-Spades}{6-Spades}

Dowdy was once again behind. The {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop didn't change much, but the {6-Diamonds} on the turn gave Dowdy the better pair. The {3-Hearts} river completed the board. Dowdy scooped the pot, punching the tenth and final ticket to Day 3's final table. The two players shook hands following the conclusion of their heads-up play.
