Shakerchi Joins The Table, Experinces The Templeman

Niveau 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Andre Templeman
Andre Templeman

Andre Templeman bet 15,000 into a pot of around 20,000 versus Talal Shakerchi, heads-up. Templeman was under the gun against Shakerchi to his direct left, who paid the bet off.

A few hands later, after calling a cut off open, Templeman called a small blind three-bet from Talal Shakerchi. Both players drew one card and Templeman showed down {j-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{2-} for the winner.

Soon after, Phil Hellmuth sat down at the table.

Templeman, who swears he learned the game of 2-7 draw after busting Event #35: The Millionaire Maker No-Limit Hold'em, has been the life of the tournament so far and has been sitting amongst the top stacks most of today.

Katz, sporting a PokerGO hat, drew one as Monnette stood pat and tabled {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

Katz's {8-}{6-}{5-}{2-} needed help and he got it when a {3-} came in to give him the winner and bust Monnette.

With 8,500 in the middle, Andre Templeman bet 10,000 in position before getting called heads up.

Templeman's opponent, Matthew ''MJ'' Gonzales, announced, ''Jack-eight." Templeman then showed the {10-}{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for a winning ten-eight.

''Thanks...or sorry'," joked Templeman after he was called out for saying sorry after winning one of the last hands.

Templeman also brought his daughter's stuffed toy horse to the table which apparently has turned into a lucky horse.

Players at the table were demanding the horse, Gonzales player offering $1,000 for it. Templeman confirmed the horse is not for sale for any price.

Gonzales came to PokerNews after the encounter and said ''Let it be known I hate tournaments so much''.
