Niveau 19

Stud Hi-Lo

Mitul Sheera: {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} / {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / {x-}
David Prociak: {a-Spades}{9-Spades} / {8-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} / {x-}

Mitul Sheera was all in against David Prociak on fourth street. By sixth street neither player had paired up.

Prociak drew the {4-Hearts} completing an eight-six low and ace-queen high. Sheera turned over the {j-Clubs} and after consulting both boards, neither player had made a pair with Sheera's nine-seven low and ace-jack high no good, and he was eliminated.

Pot Limit Omaha

Action picked up with a flop showing {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}. John Monnette and William Lahti were battling over a pot of about 38,000.

Lahti checked from the blinds and Monnette bet about 18,000 in position. Lahti called and took the hand to the turn.

The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and action checked through. Action wouldn't be checking through on the final street, though.

The river landed the {3-Diamonds} and Lahti now led into Monnette for 20,000. Monnette thought for about 30 seconds and announced, "pot." The bet was for 89,500 effective, all that Lahti had left.

Lahti sat up, knowing his next decision would decide his tournament. "Did you hit it?" he asked. He only thought for about 20 seconds before announcing, "I call."

Monnette shook his head and showed {k-}{q-}{6-}{7-} showing he bluffed with full house blockers. Lahti table {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for two pair and the big double.

"That's the first time I've been all in and at risk all tournament," said Lahti.

"You weren't at risk," joked Monnette.

"Yeah, but I didn't know that," laughed Lahti as he took down the vital pot.

2-7 No Limit Single Draw

Action picked up after the single draw and Jorge Walker led into Brandon Cantu from the small blind for 35,000 into a pot of about 50,000.

Cantu thought for a bit before putting in the call. Walker showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} for number four.

"Jesus," Cantu couldn't help but be shocked.

"That's how you play this game I guess," said another tablemate.

Walker has risen to one of the chip leaders as the day continues on.

Niveau 19

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Brandon Cantu and Jorge Walker had already built a big pot before the draw when Walker continued for 45,000.

Cantu considered the decision for about a minute, then called and mucked when Walker showed him {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

"There are a ton of chips at this table," Cantu said following the hand, looking around at his own stack, Walker's 440,000, the 270,000 of Brian Rast, and Faith Klimczak's 300,000.

An early position player had raised before Dean Joe put in the third bet to 24,000. Jacob Boyle put in the fourth bet from late position to 32,000. After the opener folded, Joe decided to call and play a pot.

Each player drew one card on the first draw, then they both checked.

Again, each player drew one on the second draw. This time Boyle bet when checked to, and Joe called.

Kapernaros Misreads His Hand, Still Survives

Niveau 19

Badeucy

Jaswinder Lally raised from the cutoff and Michael Kapernaros defended his big blind. Both players took two on the first draw, and Kapernaros check-called a bet.

The second draw was checked down and they each took one on the final draw. Lally bet again, then called when Kapernaros raised for nearly the rest of his chips.

Lally showed {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a seven-low and Kapernaros had {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

"Oh, I have a Badugi," Kapernaros said after initially thinking he had lost the entire pot. "That's the worst slow roll." He and Lally took their chips back after splitting the pot.
