Natal Wins Big Setup

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In middle position and after a limp, Alan Vaughn raised it to 3,500. He was called by Kenneth Natal in late position and these two players went to the flop.

Vaughn bet 4,000 on {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Natal called to see the turn {a-Spades}. He bet 23,000 and Natal called again.
The river was a {j-Diamonds} and Vaughn announced he was all in for almost 50,000. Natal snap-called and the cards were flipped.

Alan Vaughn: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Kenneth Natal: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

While Vaughn made two pairs, it was Natal who pulled in the pot with his rivered broadway. The dealer quietly counted the two stacks, and after two minutes, Vaughn was officially eliminated.

Spretz Wins Huge Pot

Niveau 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The early position player bet 2,000 and was met with a raise to 9,000 by middle position. Dennis Spretz in the small blind called. The action came back round to early position who moved all-in for 15,000. Middle position and Spretz called.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Spretz bet 15,000. The middle position player grabbed a handful of red 5,000 chips and moved them forward and was snap-called by Spretz who was all-in for 31,400.

Early Positon: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Dennis Spretz: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Middle Position: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The early position was in rough shape with only one out available to him. Spretz was ahead with a pair of aces and king-kicker but the middle position player had the nut flush draw.

The runout of {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} was no help for middle position and Spretz now possesses a six-figure stack.

Sawaqdeh's Pocket Pair Holds

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jamal Sawaqdeh wasted no time in calling a shove for 14,300 from late position preflop.

Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Jamal Sawaqdeh: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Sawaqdeh was ahead, but would need to fade his opponent's overcards. He did so successfully, as the board ran out {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}, changing neither player's hand and securing the knockout for Sawaqdeh.

A few tables over, Scott Epstein has amassed one of the largest stacks in the room at over 230,000.

Schulman Flops a Straight to Quadruple Up

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The under-the-gun player opened for 3,000, getting calls from late position, the cutoff, and the small blind before Joe Schulman reraise jammed for 5,400. The original aggressor called, as did the cutoff and small blind, while the late position player got out of the way.

On the {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop, the under-the-gun player jammed for around 30,000, but received no callers, giving a heads-up showdown between him and Schulman.

Joe Schulman: {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

It was essentially a perfect flop for Schulman, with his opponent drawing thin, but still with outs to a running flush or full house. the {9-Hearts} squashed those hopes before the {q-Hearts} completed the board and secured the pot for Schulman.

Schulman has previously made the final table in this event, having placed 8th in the 2018 Seniors event, taking home a cash of $76,191.

MacFarland Knocks Them All

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was caught when Christopher MacFarland called an all-in from a short-stacked opponent.

He showed {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and held against {a-Spades}{4-Spades} of his opponent, to take down the pot.

"That's too bad for you, this tournament isn't a bounty. You'd be so rich now", said another player on the table, who seems to be a spectator faced with this show.

Dykes Takes A Big One

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Peter Dykes
Peter Dykes

The under-the-gun player bet 2,500 and was raised by Peter Dykes in the cutoff for 8,000. The under-the-gun player called.

The {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop allowed Dykes to continue for 8,000 and was called by his opponent. The {a-Clubs} rolled over on the turn and Dykes fired the third barrel for 18,000. Once again his foe called.

The river brought the {2-Spades} and Dykes moved all in for 52,300. The under-the-gun player wasn't happy and was unsure what to do. He tried some speech play but Dykes sat resolutely not moving a muscle.

His opponent asked, "If I fold will you show one?" Dykes remained unmoved and the under-the-gun player folded.

The under-the-gun player kept badgering Dykes after the pot was awarded to him but Dykes remained silent until he confided to a PokerNews live reporter that he had pocket aces.

And No One Went Home

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After a raise to 3,600 in middle position from Dennis Benavides, Dongsheng Zhang raised it to 15,000 on Benavides's direct left. Jine Solomon called and Benavides then shoved his stack into the middle, covering both of his adversaries. Zhang and Solomon both put their tournament lives on the line, calling in their stacks for a threeway showdown.

Dongsheng Zhang: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Jine Solomon: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Dennis Benavides: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

It was a huge setup for these three players, and after a {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} board, Zhang held with Aces to triple. Meanwhile, Solomon took the side pot from Benavides who is now the table short stack.

"And no one went home..." Muttered another player on the table.
