Underwood Burns Baker's Aces

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A {9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop was on the table when action was caught, with Dennis Underwood all in from the blinds. Steve Baker had a decision and finally made a crying call, in late position.

Dennis Underwood: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Steve Baker: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Baker received the bad news, Underwood made trip nines on the flop and cracked his aces. The turn {5-Hearts} and the river {k-Hearts} did not change anything, and Underwood took the pot.

Titeca Hits Runner-Runner Flush to Crack Aces, Survive

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Pierre Titeca opened from under the gun and the small blind three-bet. Titeca moved all in for 90,000 and was snap-called.

Pierre Titeca: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Titeca had less than a 12% chance to win and barely improved on the {2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop.

However, the {6-Clubs} gave him a 25% chance to hit his flush or trip queens on the river.

To everyone's shock, the {2-Clubs} hit the river to crack the small blind's aces and leave the player with fewer than 30,000 chips.

Meanwhile, Titeca enjoyed a full double up and took his stack to nearly 200,000.

Mueller Enjoyed His First Senior Event

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller

"I turned 50 last year, but this year was the first time I tried to play this event. I just loved it!"

Greg Mueller has been eliminated in the money in his first-ever Senior Event, but he looks like a happy man.

Two players went all in before the flop, and he called with {a-}{q-}. Unfortunately for him, he met two players with big hands, aces and kings!

Marc Cutter held aces and Mueller failed to create the sensation and with a few chips left, he was eliminated on the next hand.

Berenji-Nataj Gets Value from Quad Kings

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player from early position opened for 15,000 and Mohammad Berenji-Nataj three-bet 40,000 from late position. The early-position player called.

The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and both players quickly checked.

On the {k-Diamonds} turn, the early-position player checked a second time and Berenji-Nataj put out a thin bet of 20,000. His opponent called.

On the {4-Clubs} river, Berenji-Nataj once again put out a bet of 20,000 and was quickly called.

Berenji-Nataj showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for quad kings, overwhelming his opponent's {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Jamasi Drives Them Crazy

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On table 491, action is crazy and Farhad Jamasi loves to move the masses.

Action was caught on a {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop, with around 30,000 in the pot. Jamasi was in a hand against Cheryl Svenson. She checked and he moved all in for 99,000. Svenson finally made the call to try to eliminate a new player.

Farhad Jamasi: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Cheryl Svenson: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Jamasi made a top pair on this flop, and after a {3-Hearts} on the turn and a {4-Clubs} on the river, he secured a double up.

On the very next hand, the board showed {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts} amd Jamasi was all in again, trying to eliminate Andrew Williams, who had 147,000. Jamasi was bluffing with {6-Spades}{4-Spades} for a pair on the flop and the straight draw, while Williams flopped the straight, with {a-Spades}{2-Spades} in his hands.

Jamasi is down again in this tournament.

DiLeo Busts Aces to Add to Monster Stack

Niveau 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Nicholas DiLeo
Nicholas DiLeo

Moshe Elazar moved all in from the hijack. The dealer began counting out the size of the jam, but Nicholas DiLeo quickly stopped them and announced the call with Elazar covered.

Moshe Elazar: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Nicholas DiLeo: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

DiLeo was behind, but picked up an open ended straight draw on the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Spades}. The {9-Clubs} turn completed that straight, and left Elazar drawing thin, needing a king on the river to make a higher straight and stay in the tournament. Instead, the {8-Hearts} river put a straight on the board, with DiLeo having the higher end of it. Elazar departed for the payout desk while DiLeo added to his chip stack, which is one of the biggest in the field.
