Sitbon Finds Two Doubles

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action started when Jason Wheeler opened the cutoff to 22,000. It folded to Julien Sitbon in the small blind who moved all in for roughly 155,000 and Wheeler made the call.

Julien Sitbon: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Jason Wheeler: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Wheeler pulled ahead with his pair of tens. Sitbon needed a seven and seven only. When the turn {q-Diamonds} hit Sitbon's hope was dwindling, until the {7-Clubs} river hit and he was able to sit back down and collect the full double up.

A few hands prior to him making a set on the river, Sitbon was all in with {a-}{10-} against {a-}{j-} of Wheeler and he managed to river the {10-} to stay alive.

Retired NBA Star Paul Pierce Allegedly Won't Pay His Poker Debts

Niveau 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Paul Pierce

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce owes a poker home game host $180,000, according to a lawsuit filed, but is allegedly refusing to pay it back.

Stephen Carmona, per TMZ Sports, claims he hosted a private game at his house on January 27 and invited the NBA Hall of Famer, who is an avid but recreational poker player. He apparently gave Pierce a $150,000 loan to enter the high-stakes game with the promise of paying it back within seven days.

The lawsuit states that the retired basketball star only returned $10,000 of that money and then borrowed another $40,000 from Carmona to compete in a different game, but allegedly hasn't paid back any of that either. Pierce reportedly made around $200 million in salary and endorsement deals during his 17-year NBA career.

Triple Up for Tarango

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

John Ripnick opened in the hijack to 18,000 and Terry Fleischer decided to three-bet to 51,000. It was called by Alex Tarango on the button, with only a few chips left and Ripnick.

The three players checked throughout the board {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} and {2-Spades} fell on the river. Ripnick checked and Fleischer announced all in. Tarango called with his last chips and Ripnick let it go.

Tarango tabled {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} while Fleischer held {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and took down the pot to triple up his stack.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Foxen continued for 25,000. Without much thought, Woolen raised to 60,000 and it was enough to fold out Foxen and take down the pot.
