Depaulo Uses One Time For Hundredth Time

Niveau 14 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

Action is picked up as Ryan Depaulo gets it in preflop for 62,000.

The hands were tabled and the players were off to the races.

Ryan Depaulo: {5-}{5-Spades}
Late Position: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop ran out {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-}, keeping Depaulo ahead but offering his opponent a gutshot as well as his two overs.

A {j-Spades} turn was bad news for Depaulo, giving his opponent the nut straight. DePaulo wasn't quite dead though.

The 20% Team Pro boost came in as he hit the {2-Spades} on the river for the flush, giving him a needed double and keeping his hopes of a second bracelet alive. Hopefully this time from the comfort of a casino chair.

Papadopoulos Runs Into Queens in Blind on Blind Affair

Niveau 15 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Kyriakos Papadopoulos
Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Action folded to the small blind who put in enough chips to cover Kyriakos Papadopoulos in the big.

Papadopoulos committed his five big blind stack and was at risk.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos: {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Small Blind: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The runout of {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} was not what Papadopoulos needed as he was eliminated.

Hawkins Talks Opponent Into Calling His Shove

Niveau 15 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Maurice Hawkins
Maurice Hawkins

Maurice Hawkins counted up his chips from middle position as he put them in the middle. The player debating a call of around 80,000 was sitting in the small blind.

"I'm just talking 'cause I want to be doubled!" said Hawkins.

When Hawkins' opponent made the call, it was a battle of pocket pairs.

Maurice Hawkins: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Small Blind: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, and Hawkins more than doubled up with the better two pair.

Swanson and Jones Take Down Big Pots

Niveau 16 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There was a flurry of excitement at table 486 as the players saw back-to-back large pots. While not a participant in either pot, Zach Zaffos had one of the biggest stacks in the field, with nearly 1,000,000 in front of him.

Action for the first of the big hands was picked up with 240,000 in the middle and a [3h9d3dJQc]. Jason Swanson moved all in from the Hijack with 158,000 behind. After a few minutes of deliberation, Shea Jones folded, giving the pot to Swanson.

On the very next hand, action folded around to Swanson in late position. He tossed 20,000 into the middle. The cutoff moved all in. From the big blind, Shea Jones made the call. After Swanson got out of the way, the players tabled their hands., with Jones at risk

Shea Jones: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Jones was ahead, but needed to dodge his opponent's over card. He did so successfully, as the board came {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, securing the pot and double up for Jones.

Reyes Has Aces Against Two All-Ins

Niveau 16 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Three players were involved in a preflop betting war, and when the re-raising was over, everyone was all-in and the small blind had them covered by a very small margin of chips.

Middle Position: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Jonathon Reyes: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Reyes was in the lead on a flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} with the best two pair, and his competition would require some serious help to beat the pocket aces.

When the {4-Hearts} came on the turn, he didn't have to sweat much more, except the remaining two kings in the deck.

The {3-Spades} sealed the triple up for Reyes, and in one hand became a top stack amongst the remaining 963 players.

Lemieux Slapshot Wins Pot

Niveau 16 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With 130,000 in the middle after the {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} turn, Chris Lemieux moved all-in for 161,000 from the small blind.

The hijack was not happy pondering over their decision. After some time, the hijack decided to call the clock on himself to quicken his thought process. With five seconds remaining the hijack called.

Chris Lemieux: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Hijack: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The hijack could only hit the {5-Spades} to win the pot which didn't come as the {2-Hearts} hit the river putting Lemieux in contention to cash.
