Two New Entries on Table 112

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Naoya Kihara and Jens Lakemeier joined the fray and both sat down on table 112 without being involved in any of the major action so far. The only somewhat notable hands from their table in Limit Hold'em featured an under the gun raise by Ali Eslami and picked up a caller in Shaun Deeb out of the big blind. The {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop was checked and Deeb bet the {5-Clubs} turn to force a fold.

Eslami then defended the big blind against Scott Seiver's button raise and check-folded the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Chip Counts From Table 117

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With new entries into the tournament, Chino Rheem had been moved to the table and was seated to the right of Chris Fraser. Rheem remarked about how well Fraser's day had been going so far, judging by the size of his chip stack.

"Just backdoor flushes and backdoor straights," replied Fraser. "Probably the wrong time to do it. Final table would be a better time!"

Fraser Pulls Further Ahead

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Three ways to the {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Chris Fraser bet 8,000 and was called by Dave Rogers as well as Phil Ivey in the blinds. The {9-Diamonds} turn was checked to Rogers, who bet 16,000 and Fraser was the only caller.

Fraser also checked the {10-Diamonds} on the river and Rogers opted to check it back this time. The Brit tabled the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for a flush and that won the pot, leaving Rogers somewhat frustrated after a rough start into the first level.

Rheem Forces Out Eslami on the Turn

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Chino Rheem made it 3,500 to go as the first player to act and Ali Eslami three-bet to 11,500 out of the small blind, which was called by Rheem. On the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Eslami checked and then called a bet worth 16,000 by Rheem as the duo headed to the {9-Spades} turn.

Another check by Eslami led to the pot-sized bet of 57,000 by Rheem and that shut down his opponent.

Razz

Chino Rheem: {x-}{x-} / {j-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
David Benyamine: {x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {x-}

Four-handed David Benyamine completed and Chino Rheem raised — both with face cards. Both other players had folded face cards, and after Benyamine called two more face cards appeared on fourth street.

Benyamine bet on fourth, fifth and sixth street with Rheem calling each time. On seventh street Benyamine bet and Rheem open-mucked {8-}{8-}.

Shaun Deeb has also entered the field and is now sat at this table

Elezra Bets Out of Turn; Chips Up Against Ivey

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

In a battle cutoff versus small blind, Eli Elezra took on Phil Ivey and bet all the way, calling a raise by Ivey on the turn of a {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board. When it was their turn to show the cards, Elezra announced jacks up and the nut low while exposing {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}.

After the hand was over, Ivey mentioned that it had been his turn to act and only then Elezra realized he had bet all the way out of turn. "Wait, you check-raised me? That's not nice," Elezra jokingly added.

Fraser Scoops Rogers

Niveau 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Chris Fraser raised in the cutoff and was called by Dave Rogers and Phil Ivey in the blinds. The trio checked the {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and Rogers bet the {4-Spades} turn to force out Ivey. Fraser then raised and Rogers called, which led them to the {7-Spades} on the river.

Rogers bet again and called a raise by Fraser, who tabled the {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} for the nut flush and a low. Rogers mucked the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Spades}{x-} for an inferior flush and took an early hit.

Phil Ivey

"Why are you here on time?" Eli Elezra asked Phil Ivey, who was seated when cards got in the air shortly after 3 p.m.

"Why not?" replied Ivey who then answered his phone.

"You're playing $50,000," said Dave Rogers. "You might as well get your money's worth."

"Maybe he thought it started yesterday," said Chris Fraser. "And he's just a bit late!"

Dave Rogers: {x-}{x-} / {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} / {x-}

Eli Elezra brought in and called the completion from opponent Dave Rogers. Rogers bet on fourth street and Elezra called.

On fifth street Elezra check-raised Rogers, and Rogers called. On sixth street Rogers check-called and Rogers checked again on the end. Elezra fired out another bet and this time Rogers folded.

Elezra showed his opponent {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for two pair and took down the pot.
