Tanita Puts Pressure On Wade

Niveau 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Action was caught on the turn of {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board.

Corey Wade checked from the big blind and Robert Tanita bet 300,000. Action is back on Wade and it took his time, before announcing a raise to 1,100,000. Tanita snap announced "pot".

The dealer made the count, it was more than five millions, which meant Tanita put Wade at risk.

"Snap pot ?!" asked Wade rather surprised. He thought about it, then folded. Tanita is back again on top.

2022 WSOP Featured Females: Meet Wendeen Eolis, 1st Woman to Ever Cash Main Event

Niveau 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Wendeen Eolis
Wendeen Eolis

In the mid 1980’s, women were considered no factor in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and other than the famous rounder and professional gambler Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, poker players rarely made headlines in the mainstream press. That all changed when Wendeen Eolis became the first woman to cash at poker’s “Big Dance.”

In the 1986 WSOP Main Event, Eolis battled some of the best players in the world, including Amarillo Slim, in a field of 141 runners. She was on her way to a 25th-place finish for a $10,000, return on her buy-in, and permanent bragging rights as the first woman in history to cash in the WSOP Main Event.

Eolis attributes her 1986 WSOP performance to a year of poker tutoring from one of the best, a “relatively” conservative game plan, and cooperative cards. She told PokerNews, “Even today, women can win more by bluffing less than men.”

Everything Can Happen

Niveau 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Chips move from one hand to another at full speed.

Corey Wade succeeded in doubling against Robert Tanita, then it was Richard Crooks who imitated him, but against Peter Neff. Jared Jaffee also lost some chips against Jacob Ferro.

In short, the pace is crazy and very clever whoever guesses the future champion.

Wade Hero Calls Tanita

Niveau 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Corey Wade raised to 350,000 from the cutoff and was called by Robert Tanita on the button.

The flop came out {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and both players checked through to the turn of {q-Spades} that saw Wade check and Tanita bet 500,000 which Wade called.

The river {j-Hearts} saw Wade check again and Tanita sized a bet up to 2,075,000 sending Wade into the tank. After some time he put in the call and Tanita said "you're good," before briefly flashing {a-}{2-}{6-}{7-} for a missed low draw. Wade triumphantly turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for aces and threes and took a massive chunk out of Tanita's chip lead.
